HikingIcyMuddyRockySnow

Mostly well-packed snow, though definitely icy and muddy in places. We had planned to snowshoe another trail and didn’t have yaktrax with us, but wished we had them on the way down. The peak was almost completely covered in clouds, though we caught a few brief glimpses of sun and the highest surrounding peaks.

HikingRockyScramble

The trail gets really steep and scrambling is necessary at parts. The water fall is pretty and helps you cool down some after a tough hike. There are a ton of people on this hike so go early.

Not too windy, a fair amount of people on the trail. Boots on the way up, spikes on the way down.

One of my favorite hikes in the Wasatch. Super difficult but totally worth it!

SnowshoeingGreat!Snow

microspikes were nice about halfway through lower Bell's trail, went 1 mile above the lower falls turnoff (start of upper Bell's trail) and finally found enough snow to use the snowshoes I packed. it was amazing up there, didn't see anyone on the upper portion. only went about another quarter mile on the snowshoes before I had to turnaround due to already being late to family dinner... will be back soon

Hiking

We started on the trail at 5:00 am and finished by 9:00. An extremely easy trail for hiking, better suited for trail running or mountain biking I think. Not particularly my most favorite hike, but it’s a good one to take if you want to stay close to the valley. Great views of the Draper temple, but if you’re looking to get away from civilization for a bit I recommend taking a different hike.

Really easy. Not too much traffic, but mostly used by mountain bikes.

This is a fast mountain bike trail. Foot trail only hikes in the area, I would recommend Lupine which is at the end of the Edeilweiss section of Suncrest. Hoof and Boot and Ghost Trail is also closeby with well groomed trails.

This is a great hike! I saw 1 person all day.. 10.9 miles is way off.. it was 13.5 to the lake and back.. once you hit mile 4 the incline intensifies greatly.. Finding the trail is tricky and the road leading up to it isn't what I had expected.. Take plenty of water and food, its an all day adenture

HikingGreat!

I did this trail today catching the last of the fall. The first part is just a fire road with a steep climb, so I started early to do that while it wasn't quite light. There were great fall colors, and once you get to the lake Hardy trail it is amazing. I pushed on to big horn peak, and was glad I did, but it is a boulder scramble, and I wandered quite a bit on the way down trying to find a good path. You can see my map here. I usually think of myself as being pretty fast, but this one beat me up and took me 8.5 hours. But I did climb a couple extra peaks. https://strava.app.link/SEW0W7mH2ab

Extremely light traffic. It is steep and over grown in places. Still a good hike and great views. Phone died so didn’t record the whole hike
