Worth the easy hike up in the warmer months and a snowshoeing trek up in the winter! Great little spot with the option to continue on to some tougher trails.

Today we went to see if there was enough snow for snow shoes but there isn’t yet so we decided to hike trail 5 which includes the summit. Great work out and and we will return. I see some posts below that mention the trails are not well indicated. This must have been improved because there are signs everywhere.

In summer, this is a nice hike with beautiful views and nature. In winter, it is very different, it’s very easy to get lost (especially if, like me it’s your first time on this trail) and if you do, it can get pretty dangerous. We were lost and stuck on the top of a frozen vertical cliff and had to somehow descent and find the trail. For me, it was part of the fun, but if you know that it won’t be the case for you, I wouldn’t recommend this trail in winter.

Note that the trail is right in the middle of golden and bald eagle wintering habitat. We saw on one hike in February six species of raptors including a bald eagle and a peregrine falcon.

A decent short trail. Easy enough to bring children along

Beautiful trail! That’s our go to spot every time!

Quick hike to a wonderful view

Did part of this trail today to get up to Eagles Nest Lookout. Was fantastic in the snow.

Nov. 19,2018.
Good outing. Nice walk thru the wood.
There are several loops available to suit anyone’s needs.

One of the best trails around the area ! We go every year :) always super busy on thanksgiving weekend , but other then that it’s a must see trail ! Best with the fall colours

A great hike! Not marked particularly well, considering the trail was covered in fallen leaves, but still easy to follow.

I find it's usually pretty quiet. Nice easy hike with moderate sections.

Lots of people but worth it for the view! Some moderate difficulty sections.

Beautiful hike! Very easy but can be made into a longer hike. Great view from the lookout. Beautiful fall hike with all the fresh leaves everywhere. Parking is across the street. Turn to the lookout isn't clear - I hike a bit too far and had to turn back so pay attention! Brought my dog on the trail and she loved it. Overall an easy trail with a great reward.

Great hiking trails.

The area was beautiful in fall, even later fall. I took a butt load of photos. Beautiful examples of the Canadian Shield and forest. You walk along the shore on the right path. Lot’s if foot traffic; we saw very many people. Lot’s of cabins but they are not used or maintained but look neat and abandoned on the inside. I would suggest starting from the left path if you want to do the whole loop because the right path has many hills and valleys that you won’t want to do last and there is a steep path down from the top on the right path that I can’t imagine climbing but the right path is easier from then on. We did the whole loop minus the extra and I didn’t expect to be so tired and sore. Granted, I am overweight and out of shape but young. Nevertheless I would advise those challenged physically to stay away or walk small portions to the right of the loop. There are a lot of rocky hills and you are going up and down many times especially to the right. A few steep cliffs so I would watch any children carefully. It’s advised to put your dog on a leash but many don’t. I would maybe not bring a dog if you plan on using a leash because it might get stuck behind very many trees. Remember to bring money as it is not free (they charge per car). There was a sign “Bear spotted in the area” but I don’t think bears around here are very aggressive anyways and definitely would not want to be around so many people.

Correct; nice fall walk on the trails; signage is not pertinent, but it if you want an easy hike with kids it is worthwhile.

Excellente activité physique avec de très belles vues.

Wonderful hiking and a great spot! Beautiful Fall colours.

Went with our three year old and did the Morton trail. It was great! Some parts were steep but nothing we couldn’t handle. Love the scenery and the leaves this time of year is wonderful.

beautiful hike. quick rewards. stunning views. be sure to go in October!

Beautiful scenic views with great autumn colours in full bloom. The trail has good elevation to keep things interesting along the way. Hiking shoes or boots are a must to handle the rocky terrain.

Was great, but we didn’t notice the part where you break off to actually head up to the lookout. We kept walking too far and ended up doing the entire loop back to the road, about 10k in total. I’d recommend keeping an eye on the AllTrails app while you’re going so you don’t miss the lookout spot. It’s only about a 15-20 minute walk from the road

Went for a family hike with 2 teenage daughters. Good amount of elevation and difficulty level to keep everyone interested. For those more adventurous you can venture off and find your own way. Will do it again.

Great trail on a beautiful fall day! Gorgeous colours.

Saw a grey rat snake - I estimate about 5+ footer. Beauty!

dont come in summer..or get your sprays...too many mosquitoes...

Pretty, but lots of dips due to truck or four-wheeler tires. Left lots of mud on the main parts of the trails.

Steep and challenging.

Nice trail with waterfall. Moderate level with children. Easy access.

This is a great trail for all ages and dogs. I'd rate it as moderate as the inclines are not too steep and there aren't many of those. Since there are loose rocks and the Canadian Shield, hiking boots are best. Superb view over Lac du Deux Montangnes at the top of Route du Cavalaire. The Sommet trail is best begun at the far end of the parking lot as it isn't a well signed trail from the Sentier du Cavalaire.
