Easy and short hike up to the top, but surprised more people haven’t talked about the heights! I’ve hiked well over 30 trails in the Oregon/Washington area, and this is one of the few that actually made me nervous on my way to the top! There are guard rails, but it’s just wide open to the side of the rock as you ascend. Worth it for the views at the top!

Great walk! The gorge winds made it an epic climb up the switchbacks. Totally worth going to the top.

Nice trail! Plenty of water, lake, creeks & flowing stream with several waterfalls! The trail could be better marked, but even getting off it was through pleasant surroundings! The app was the only way we knew we were going the right way! Thanks All Trails!,

made it all the way but the last 1 mile due to snow. last 2 miles is very rutty. recommend snowshoes but we postholed and made it in others tracks falling through about 1-2 feet+ at times. super duper windy did not summit today but will be back. 3-10-18

Beautiful view of the falls but trails are closed I heard till April. Sad I didn’t get to do the hike!

Had such a nice time. Pretty flat trail. A few spots made me nervous with young kids but we just picked them up. Such a cool place! We’ll definitely be back. Ohh and there’s a playground for after!

This was our first time coming here and didn’t really know what to expect as a friend had been suggested it so we thought, why not? If you’re looking for a quiet hike, this is not it. We got an early start but it was a constant stream of people, bikes, horses, etc. Not a big deal to some but not my idea of a hike. It was also clear that many people don’t clean up after their dogs, which was disappointing as I carried my bags the easy 2.5 miles to the garbage. We came from the Hantwick TH and planned to take some trails past the bridge but there was zero signage which for a place like this, you’d think they would have some guide or map other than just elevation. we did the most obvious small loop and called it good as we were getting a little irritated trying to figure it out past that. Like others have said too, hard to see the falls in high water season so maybe a sign to let you know what you may be looking at would’ve been nice. The scenery and bridge were beautiful, it just wasn’t the right “hike” for us.

Lots of signage.

Fairly easy, very pretty. Alder loop was very muddy and not as pretty as the other loops so not really worth navigating the mud.

My all time favorite hike. But it has gotten so crowded in recent years. I visited here just weeks before the fire closed it in 2017.

Very sad. But can’t wait for it to reopen.

It was OK, the trail goes through neighborhoods so not lots of stop and go.

One of the best hikes in the gorge. Uphill but easy.

Fantastic hike, gorgeous in every way, waterfalls, lush greenery, flowers, mushrooms, moss, all that's missing are the little fairies :) Took us about 5-6 hrs, just what we needed.

In a residential neighborhood with limited parking in a cul de sac which is flanked by homes. Had difficulty turning around with all the cars. Found that if I took a left on 183rd instead of the right, there is a much quieter cut de sac (without the number of homes and cars) to enter from.

Awesome views! The top is really not that great compare to the trek up the mountain! Try to go on any other day except for a weekend. This trail is highly trafficked.

does anyone know someone to contact for a reopen date of this trail?

while the trail is "marked," I found it confusing until I did this trail a couple of times. I like that it feels secluded in city limits and the there are hills for a bit of a workout. I plan to explore all the side trails next (rabbit hole, ? chimney....). Dog friendly and nice people I meet there. Watch out for horse patties. lol

Its closed and fenced, but you can still see the waterfall

Not too difficult with big reward at the top!

Miss this place

It's ok. Lots of horse dung.

my very first trail in Oregon

Very pretty trail. Short and EASY ...however, this trail is kid, family, and dog friendly. No real incline. Falls are literally a few hundred yards from parking lot!

incredible hike. you need a jeep, lifted 4x4/AWD SUV, or offroad capable truck for the final 2 miles of road

I called this morning and the trail is open again.

Great easy trail to hike with my dog. There were other dogs and bikers on this trail.

Had a good walk around. The area is not well marked. Not entirely sure if I actually saw Woodburn falls but there was a huge waterfall seen from above, definitely saw lower falls which was beautiful. A bit muddy but not a big deal. It's a busy area with runners and families.

Great views! Trail is reopen for hiking. Rock isn't open for climbing though.

Lots of folks out, which wasn't surprising considering it was a beautiful sunny day in January. I'd like to go back to explore some more of the smaller inner trails sometime too.

Just did a quick 2 miles around part of the lake, so beautiful!!! So many different trails and routes to take, I can’t wait to go back and explore more. Definitely many people out today, and it was sprinkling so I imagine it would be extremely packed during the warmer months. So pretty though!
