Love this place as it's a nice escape to hike. Lots of wildflowers and some hills following the creek.

Good trail with the kids and dog, very muddy but we went the day after a heavy rain. Easy enough for the kids to manage but interesting enough to keep their attention. Multiple water crossings were great. Did 2.2 miles for Blue and Orange trails.

Beautiful view!

Fun little trail.

1 trail down and 5 to go.

Enjoyed it. Was more easy than moderate with exception of the big hill on backside (orange trail). Couldn’t get to he waterfall because it was across the creek and it was 30 degrees outside but could see it from a distance and hear it. Will be back in summer.

Loved this trail. Did a quick stop for a hike with my pup on my way from Louisville to Nashville, Indiana. Large, wide trail for most the way. Tall trees with great views of water this time of year. Nice inclines and drops that get the blood flowing.

One of the best hikes you’ll ever take. we did about seven miles one day and 6 miles the next.

One of my favorite trails. Maybe the best view in Ohio. Out and back trail with a loop section in the middle before the rock. Recommend going up one side and down the other on the way back. Trail can get slick in some spots so be prepared for a little mud. Love this trail and this preserve, thank you TNC!

I’ve done the trail a handful of times, but it’s getting too popular and disrespectful litter bugs are trashing this gorgeous Preserve! It angers me greatly how slothful people are. Last time I went was last week and there were dozens of folks there, it was a beautiful day to see the colors of the trees.,

Great easy pace walk with the hound. Beautiful outlook area and view.

Really beautiful hike. Pretty well marked. Definitely one to try and one that I will do again.

Fun trail that is not very hard. Has decent
Elevation for this area. Had rained so the trail was slick with wet rocks, roots and leaves.

great hike with beautiful view.

enjoyed the hike, the pumpkin walk was a detriment but enjoyed the hike and the overlook view

First hike in awhile for the wife and me and this was the perfect trail for it. Nothing extreme but some elevation changes.

fairly easy hike, but beautiful just as the leaves are starting to fall. We happened to go on a day they had some fall festivities, so we caught one of the last guided tours about Rose Island. a really neat treat that allowed us to step into the past.

nice area . paddle boating, hiking.

Nice hike. Took the kids 9 year old, 5 yr old and 2 year old in a pack. Challenging for the kiddos a little toward the end but overall very good.

We enjoyed a family hike along trail 3 and on part of Rose Island. The paved trail down to Rose Island is steep, and like others have mentioned, I'd rather walk down than up. While you still have to make up for the downhill, it's a more enjoyable walk along the trail coming out than walking a road.

Took my 6 and 4 year old. They did great. The climb was a little steep for them but they handled it great.

Hiked trail 7 and 3 (around 3.5 miles) with five kids ages 5-10. Like others mentioned take the paved path down and do the trail counter clockwise. Nice hike through Rose Island, then on to the rest of trail 3 which gets pretty narrow with a drop off to one side, had to slow the pace to watch our youngest. Otherwise not too difficult.

Nice trail, but it is a bit easier to take the paved path down to Rose Island and the trail back as others have mentioned. Watch for some paw paw fruit on the trail back. They are sweet but have a slightly bitter finish.

The trail did not run beside the creak, about 10” from the trail there was a rusty old barb wired fence, and the waterfall at best was 2’! We would not do this trail again!

I've been hiking these trails for probably 20 yrs, there's no steep inclines, really could use some more trail markers. But overall is a fun trail to hike.

Just went today. Great hike. Wasn't too challenging for me but still got my heart rate up and definitely got me sweating. It was a high of 91. My wife and i showed up around 9am and there was only one other car there. When we started back we passed quite a few people and the parking was getting pretty full. There was a little mud in the low spots but nothing crazy. Didn't have to bushwhack thru the grass. The trail was very visible. Overall great day hike and will probably be back when the leaves change

One of the best trails in southern Ohio. excellent view.

Nice little walk with some beautiful view of lake Monroe in either direction. evening we were there had a fabulous sunset.

Well manicured walking trail. Not enough off of the path trails. Fairly easy hike.

Same trail today, but added Rose Island. Awesome step into the past. Definitely worth extra to see.
