First time to Snow Canyon and decided to check out this trail. It’s very easy for anyone of any fitness level and just beautiful. You get sweeping views of all the amazing red rock. I’m not sure if the time of year but when you go past the arch the rest of the trail is closed. Would definitely do again

Great short hike, beautiful Arch towards the end. Lots of Lava formations in the middle.

12/4/2018 GATE IS CLOSED

Hike it anyway if you can. So amazing. Super easy hike, not sure why this is rated moderate. We hiked 2 days after a full day of snow and had no problems in regular waterproof hiking boots. There were two small parts that were slightly slick, but really, no big deal to get past. We're from Florida, so not expert snow hikers or anything. So glad we showed up to try this hike after being slightly worried from previous reviews. The path is basically a snow covered sidewalk. And the springs are great!

I love exploring slot canyons. What I like about this trail is that when hiking the loop you hike through several different slot canyons. Non of them look alike. Each has their own uniqueness. I enjoyed hiking counterclockwise. I got some great pictures.

What a beautiful walk. Did this 27th November. The snow made it all look like a wonderland and even more reason to stay in the hot springs longer when it’s cold outside. Beware we wore walking boots but the trail was very icy and slippery in places so we were sliding and a few falls along the way. Would definitely recommend spikes!! The springs were super warm and was only 3/4 other people there. Would recommend bringing waterproof shoes/sandals just for when your in the pools. The hike isn’t too changing and took us about an hour to get there and 50 mins on the way back.

Hiked Nov. 25, gate was still open and road to the trailhead was fine (with a couple of short icy spots). Awesome hike, but would definitely recommend chains or spikes for your shoes (a hiking pole at the very least). I was wearing chains and I still wiped out a few times on the icy trail, and I saw a lot of people in tennis shoes struggling a LOT to get up and downhill. Don't forget to take off any jewelry before soaking.. I forgot to take my rings off and they turned black from the sulphur almost immediately. Also saw a couple of nude bathers.. they weren't bothering anyone, but just be aware.

Quarry trail parking was covered in packed down snow. Parking across the street was clear. About 3” of snow on the start of the trail, probably 4-6 at the top. You may still be okay without spikes, but I would’ve been faster if I had hem with me. Great option for a regular winter hike.

Easy hiking on land, and only moderate challenge climbing into the tubes with kids. No gear needed, outside of a flashlight. Tubes are not long, so, while you should hike with extra batteries, we weren't at a loss without them.

Fun trail in the brisk morning.

Hiked this trail veterans day. The gate was still open. parking lot says three forks tailhead, but it's for fifth hotsprings. there's a restroom in the Parking lot. come early. By 1 the Parking lot is crowded. I started at 10:30 and it was 28 degrees. Beautiful hike. lightly dusted with snow. springs were beautiful, not crowded and warm. trail is easy to find, but I had no cell service so be prepared. enjoy!

Phenomenal. Gate was still open as of 11/12/2018. No need for trekking poles. Small ups and downs, but nothing to terrible.

Nice short hike with beautiful views of the canyon walls.

I really enjoyed this trail. There are so many trails in the area, you can combine to customize the length. The loop is easy to follow if you use the map and your phone GPS. Recommend adding the Paradise Rim out and back to this loop.

Great, pretty easy hike in November. It was more crowded than we expected for a Thursday in November. The water felt great. Several cows were in the area when we got to the springs (but not too close to the water, thank goodness!) Parking lot was over full when we got back to the trailhead after 1 pm.

is the gate closed yet?

Looked at this hike for years as a possible hike. Finally decided to give it a try. Glad I did. The last little bit of the hike was a little to close to a neighborhood for my liking. Had a great view from the mouth of the cave. Even if the cave was small in depth but large in size.

Loved this hike! At the end we received a real cool surprise. Sitting on a rock near the little pond just talking with my wife when a strange sound from above broke the silence. A long rope came flying down from the top of the canyon and landed in the pond. The end of the rope was measured almost exactly as only the last two feet hit the water. A few minutes later a young lady repelled down the canyon wall from above. We took pictures and videos for her and then sent them to her email. Then her male companion threw a heavy bag down. I’m sure glad I didn’t try to catch it, it would have broken my body into pieces. All in all very entertaining and a fun learning experience. Don’t miss this hike!!

Hike was short but the weather couldn’t have been better. The first lava tube was more for the caving type, steep decent. I wouldn’t recommend for younger kids. Or an older person like me (60). The second tube on your right had an easier decent that almost anyone can navigate. It doesn’t go very deep but it will be fun for the younger kids and us old folks. Really hard to get lost in this cave. Sign at the entrance is good to follow. Perfect hike on a hot day. I’ve enjoyed this fun little hike for over 44 years. If your in them at dusk I’m guessing the bat population exiting will start your heart a pumping. Saw bat guano in both lava tubes.

Beautiful red rock, but you’re also in view and hearing of a major road almost the whole hike.

Super fun trail 100% recommend

Road to trailhead was still open today. Beautiful but busy day. More than enough space in the hot springs for everyone. Excellent moderate hike.

is the road to the trailhead still open? I know they close it once the weather turns then it is closed til spring.

Better than I expected!! Beautiful scenery every step of the way:))

Did this hike on 10/28/18. We made it to all three lakes. There was lots of snow, but most of it was packed in so you were not sinking down with every step. Wear proper hiking shoes and gear (we did not bring hiking poles but wish we did!). It was a gorgeous hike! The best part was that we were the only ones at Lake Catherine. I think the snow scared people off! Definitely recommend this hike.

It is about 10 miles for the loop, not 8. I went up Little Wildhorse Canyon and then down Bell’s Canyon and loved it. Don’t skip Bells- some people say it’s not as pretty as Little Wildhorse, and if you are looking for a slot Canyon sire that’s true, but I think the variety in landscape and views you get with the entire loop is worth it!

The first 90% of the trail was relatively easy and I was able to follow it pretty well. Near the end you have to climb over a few obstacles but it was doable for a fat guy like me. I lost the trail once the cave was in sight but figured out how to get up and there and the view was worth it. Really pretty trail with changing scenery.

I hiked the upper portion for 1.7 miles until it comes back up to the road. Starts just below the ruins of the old Mill. Loved this trail. Very peaceful and a gradual climb to get your heart going a bit. I only saw three mountain bikers and five bikers on this trail. I think I will start at the bottom for a snow shoeing adventure this winter.

Very good trail, scenic and oh so beautiful. I went to the springs alone. I had a good time soaking, but I think it would be better to have a small group of friends, so I'd suggest you bring some people whose company you enjoy. I went at around 3 pm on Tuesday and there were only about 3 other groups of people so not overcrowded at all. I felt a little awkward soaking alone, but everyone was friendly and didn't seem to mind my dog having a soak as well.
