Super muddy in this time of year so bring some good boots. Not much views but you do get some easy rocks to maneuver for a bit. I’m not a pro hiker by any means but I did it with a 2 year old on my back. BRING BUG SPRAY. Without it, I’m not sure it we would of went as far as we did. Also, they should rename this the “stairway to heaven” as there’s TONS of muddy rock stairs going up. No paved roads after the map and super pretty walking path that is well managed along the way. Plenty of locals there to help guide us. Hope this helped!

We love this trail. We’ve done it multiple times. I would rate it easy because it’s a clear and short hike. There are lots of steps though. The view is worth the incline. Dog/kid friendly.

Lots of steps but it was the perfect amount of challenge. Brought my dog and she loved it but definitely bring water! I also recommend a stick to brush away the spiders and webs. There are multiple trails but they are all connected. Lots of maps so you can’t get lost. Wonderful views!

Did this hike twice during the winter. Very challenging when wet, because you need to use all fours for the majority of the hike. When dry, still going to be very hard on your feet due to the sharp rocks. Do not bring kids or pets, and this hike should be classified as “hard,” not moderate.

Great trail! Not as easy as I thought it would be for me and our 8 month old pup. Definitely keeps your heart rate up! It’s been raining pretty constantly so the ground was slippery in some spots, but less creepy crawlers during rainy season. Was pushing to get to the falls before sundown, couldn’t find the cave, it was pretty dark nearer to the falls.

The shortest trail I think I have ever done, it kicked butt! Took 6 friends and we all really enjoyed it. Lots of places to explore. LOTS of spiders! Awesome for such a short distance, lots of bang for the walking distance and no boring stretches.

In the beginning, I though it would be to easy. The trail is endless and I will have to come bag where I stopped to see how far it really goes.

Good trail for families and dogs. Would not suggest if you’re looking for a good work out. It is an easy walk through the forest. Will visit again.

Great trail. Did it with a group of people. It was my first time and them stairs was no joke but overall loved it and would do it again.

I don't know where GPS lead me but ... I parked in a residential area and walked about a quarter of a mile before we found steep metal stairs that lead us down to a tunnel where the hike began. It is a very maintained trail with porta potty at the entrance we went through. we did not see the golf course until we hiked all the stairs to the top and we didn't see Mt. Fuji and that was what kept my 8 year old going.

It was an amazing trail with the sound of the ocean and walking through the forest. Easy hike for beginners like me! Make sure to carry enough water to last the trail .

Good walk, highlights include a 2ndhand store with trekking gear in Mitake, peak views and a very organized logging site on one of the hills. Easy access, decent views.

Competed this trail a few times and never get bored .. Tori Gate Central .. walk through hundreds as you work your way up to the top of Mt Inari and back down .. there are many trails you can choose if you wish to extend it .. I actually did a 6km version and included the outskirts through the forest as well. Recommended
