Fantastic walk. think about sun cream and covering up as there isn't any shade. Quite easy actually. 30 euros to get to the rifugio but worth it. It gets quite busy in summer.

The Tre Cime are beautiful, but it’s the surrounding scenery that really makes this trail stunning! 360 degrees of gorgeous mountains. Start as early as you can, because it’s crowded. The first half (to Tre Cime) is on a well-maintained, easy path. I recommend going off the main trail to a grassy view spot on the right. Past the first rifugio there are steep, rocky paths, switchbacks, and very little sun protection. We saw so many severe sunburns and had to reapply sunscreen multiple times! It’s possible with children and older hikers, but only if they’re in for working hard to earn some incredible views!

Did the Ferrata route in addition to most of this loop. Amazing views! I’d highly recommend the Ferrata/hike in the early morning before it gets too crowded. Hike is relatively easy.

Costs 30 euro (unless you plan on hiking up the steep road several kilometers to get to the trailhead) but it’s worth it!

Did this trail mid-June and though there was snow on the ground we found it totally walkable without spikes or other gear. There were some beautiful views, variations in altitude and lots of different terrains. Although there are some steep ascents it was totally worth it for the views.

I did this entire loop today, not expecting to make it very far. I was told the trail was impassable due to deep snow, but everybody was just going for it today anyway! When walking in the snowy sections, I sometimes sank down to my shins, but never deeper. The snow made the hike slow going and sketchy in some places (traversing narrow paths across steeply sloping sections of snow towards the end of the loop) I had microspikes with me, which were extremely useful, I felt like I could walk up or down the snowy sections very safely and quickly. If you’re hiking the upper altitude Dolomites in the upcoming weeks I highly recommend microspikes for traction, and I wish I had gaiters to keep the snow from getting scooped into my shoes and making my socks wet. There are lots of streams to filter water on this trail, so bring a filter! I thought I’d be going for a very short walk today which turned out to be 7 miles in the blazing sun, so I left my Katadyn bottle in the car and only had 1 liter of water (thankfully there was so much snow on the trail to eat).

Not sure about the previous review written a few days ago! Based off that, we went to check it out. The road to the base of Tre Cime is closed, and it is very snowy. We hiked through the woods in the snow, but decided against going to the base because of post holing. I think it’s still a bit early!

Beautiful views, medium difficulty, groundhogs running around. Walk to the lakes, the view is worth it!

Beatific! Especially at sunset.

Fantastic. Especially the walk along the cows.

Beautiful scenic trail, short difficult climbs but well worth the effort. Have a beer at the Rifugios to take in the views. Many short offshoot trails to explore. 30€/vehicle for toll road to parking lot or 8€/person for the bus, bus was big and looked to be able to transport everyone waiting. 0,20€ for bathroom at Rifugio. Coming from years of living in the flatlands of Texas and not training for hiking at all prior to this trip, I found this trail to be easy to moderate, definitely not difficult with a decent base level of fitness (friend did this without problems while carrying a 15 kilo child on his back).
