#1 - Sella Ronda MTB Tour

Length: 35.3 mi
This is one of the most beautiful rides that can be done in Italy for all MTB enthusiasts should try. This is the clockwise route and it can also be done anti-clockwise. We recommend being accompanied by local MTB guides. The route crosses the Sella, Gardena, Campolongo and finally Pordoi passes. The climbs are not very hard but there are several difficult points due to the altitude. The lifts used are seven: three cable cars, two cable cars and two chair lifts. The descents are beautiful and very technical. There are very steep and demanding sections. All types of terrain are covered: single tracks in the woods with roots and steps, stony ground, white streets and pastures. Strong experience and a good mountain bike are recommended. The departure is at the Col Rodella cable car which leads to an altitude of about 2400m. From there you descend towards the Sella pass and then get to Selva di Val Gardena. From there you take the Dantercepies cable car to return at 2270m Descend again to cross the Gardena pass and arrive in Corvara. From the arrival of the chair lift, go up a road that leads to the Pralonga refuge at 2125m. This is the only long climb on this tour and a great place to take a lunch break. After, go down through the Campolongo pass to reach Arabba. Take the cable car again to reach the 2478m of Porta Vescovo and admire the Marmolada glacier .. From here you start a long descent up to about 1800m and then take a last chair lift that leads to the Pordoi pass. And finally there is a last descent of 12 km that leads to Canazei from where one can take the cycle path that leads back to the starting point of the tour.Show more
#2 - Monte Stivo

Length: 6.0 mi • Est. 4 h 12 m
The Monte Stivo is 2,054m high and divides the Sarca plain north of Lake Garda from the Val d’Adige in Rovereto. The trailhead of this hike is Sant’Antonio, a village above the Santa Barbara pass. Up here at 1400 meters the mountain pastures of the Monte Stivo begin and stretch up to the summit. These meadows are a feast for the eyes: peonies, wild tulips, anemones, Alpine buttercups, gentians and primroses transform these meadows into a sea of flowers. You can also enjoy the view of Lake Garda as you follow the path leading steeply up to the highest point. From top of the mountain near the Rifugio Marchetti, enjoy the fabulous view of the Val d’Adige valley, from Trento to Rovereto, Lake Garda and the villages of Riva and Arco.Show more

A very nice hike up along a creek through forest, meadows and hillside. Great way up to reach the other trails along the surrounding mountain crests. This trail is a difficult route up. It has been nicely marked out with trail paint: you won't get lost if keep following the marks.Show more

Paths 439, 425 and 442. Going up from 439 be careful not to lose track of the path. It is possible to make the tour in two days by climbing from path 442 and staying overnight at Rifugio Casarota (1572m).Show more
