Beautiful but definitely not moderately difficult hike. The landscape is amazing but the paths are often barely there, climbing over massive rock bolders, and scary cliffs. Whoever likes an adventure and has mountain experience would be the perfect person to do the hike, for all others maybe a less difficult one might be better.

HikingGreat!

* CAUTION * This will only get you to stage 9. Stage 10 and 11 are skipped if you follow this trail. This was a great hike. Using this map plus the “Trekking in the Dolomites” book I was able to easily navigate my way through AV1. Enjoyed staying at the rifugios. Unbelievable scenery. One of my favorite hikes of all time.

HikingGreat!

the first part of this recording is a bit off due to battery saving mode, but most of it is correct. The gondola costs 21€ for up and down, so if you want you can save money by walking down and paying 11 or 12 to only go up. Great views on this hike!

The most amazing trail I've ever done, and probably one of the best that I will hike in my life. Despite being quite touristic, you can still meet great people along the way!

Excellent hike for a day trip. It took me almost 7 hours to complete, but 4:47:08 was just the hike portion. The rest was resting periods. Definitely recommend.

We went late October, in the off season when the lift was not operating. Super foggy day so that’s why we had the trail to ourselves, but we couldn’t see the iconic range around us. Beautiful regardless. Bring your trekking poles

Nice hike, I would suggest to stay on the 6 to balest, the climb is steep but the view amazing. When you get to the first open field the route in-app takes you to the left, of the bench there, but keep right. When you get to seceda its like walking in the zoo, dont really recommand this hike, there are lots of other scenic hikes around.

Skip the 6K gravel drive. Take the gondola up to the top and begin the hike. The hike is basically ski runs. Gondolas and cables.

Completed the AV1 in 7 nights and 8 days total. What a journey! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a challenging, but very rewarding adventure.

Amazing trail! The first 2.5 miles are really really tough incline though. There is a small lift you can take if you want to skip it.

Views were fantastic! Rainy for some late afternoons which made the rocky areas very difficult, but the memories, new friends, and sights along the way made it so rewarding. Would hike portions again!

We went up as far as the snow would let us, didn't have gear to go further. Walked up the large gravel swath, good marks on trail and no big obstacles, trail turns into nice greenery on the sides with flowers after. Will have to come back and do more, this is a legendary trail.

Awesome hike my wife and I did in June 2018. At the start there is a small pocket to park a few cars. The hike is all incline but it's very beautiful views.

Did it 2 adults and 3 kids (10,11,16) started on the 23rd of July 2018. The hike was just perfect- good trail, great views, good weather, good food (most of it) . All the family had a great time.

We cut it by half, walked from Hochmuth and then took route 25 to the pass from the Leiteralm. While being quite steep ascent and descent are easily manageable. We even met couples with kids. Most beautiful and same time most complicated part is route 23 to the Mutspitze, though still can be done without any special equipment.
