The trail in the app actually deviates from the trail in one spot in the valley. To avoid going off piste in tall steep grass follow the dotted line trail seen on the map. Not the track recorded.

Hard work but with amazing views. My nephew who is 11 managed to do it so i would rate it 6/10 on how hard it can be. You have some steep rough climbs , easily done if hiking, bit more challenging if on a MTB. it can be easily done with an electric mtb that you can rent at the town of Champorcher at the start of the road and you can charge at the rifugio Dondena and also at the rifugio Miserin at the top near the lake. (but thats not true MTB!) In both rifugio you will find very friendly ppl serving good local food, ales, cakes and hot beverages. Both places offer overnight stay, dinner lunch or bkfast.

One of the most beautiful hikes in Italy! I’ve included some tips/info below: • The price for the round trip gondola ride was $76.50 total for two adults (€34/adult round trip ticket). Despite the expensiveness of the ticket, it is worth it - lots of trails once you reach the valley complex. Breathtaking views. • YES, they accept card for the gondola rides. • The hours for the gondolas during summer are 8:30am-5:30pm. You have to take two up and back down. The first is a small one that you and your family are in by yourself, seated. You get off at the stop, and then proceed to the next one, a larger one that is standing room only. Yes, dogs are allowed in both. • Parking on site at the entrance is €8 for the day. It’s a covered garage. • Plenty of rifugios, bars, and restaurants in the valley complex to grab a bite to eat and use the bathroom. Most all that I saw are open. Some even had lawn chairs you could use for tanning. • Wear sunscreen!! Not a lot of shaded areas on this hike and the sun is deceiving. We are a few burnt biscuits after today. • Due to Covid, masks are required while riding in the gondolas, but not on the hike or while seated outdoors at the food places (this is as of June 27th when we went).

Really good trail. Quite steep going up and especially the last bit. Trail is well kept and accessible to everyone. Leave the car in town at the last car park! Bring extra water during summer!
