Really nice walk up to Villa Jovis. Totally worth the €6 to see the ruins (that will add a little mileage here). Nothing compared to Pompeii but interesting, and there's a view from up top that is truly exquisite. There's a place to refill water bottles for a very nominal fee along the way as well. If the shopping and touristy routine on Capri aren't for you this is seriously a great, quick escape.

Beautiful small valley garden; some ruins, a gorgeous cascata grotto at the bottom of the trail. Plenty of shade and benches to rest and take in the sights and sounds. Clean restroom stops along the way. Trails are well maintained; two or three were closed for maintenance. Map was provided upon entry. Family entry (2 adults and our 3 bambini) was 19 euro. At end of trail, a small gift shop/cafe, and bathrooms. The two small temples at the end were nice. Easy hike, good footwear (athletic shoes) recommended. Strollers not allowed.

By far one of the most enjoyable trails I ever did, almost senic the whole hike! I recommand to walk anti-clockwise, the benifit is that you have a gradual ascent and a bit steeper descent. Also this way you are on the sunny side when you finish. After you negotiated the man made bridges and are back on the open part of the mountain, i recommand to take the higher route to Theodor Christomannos point before dropping down.

Amazing trail! Gorgeous views! Pretty easy track. Can be done with kids and dogs. There is a parking and many restaurants on the start/end.

We found this by chance as we were traveling thru the area. We had a hard time finding out how to begin the hike. Find the beginning of the tram and head right of the ticket booth. We chose to go right as we approached the loop portion. The stations of the cross our on this side of the loop. Once at top the hill there is a beautiful village that we didn’t expect. The trail weaves thru the village often between properties. Amazing views. Restaurants and a beautiful church await. On the descent we found a dotted line portion that brought us thru an olive grove. A beautiful mistake.

Loved this magical trail up to Villa Jovis. I am a beginner hiker and not in the best shape. I found it steep, but doable going slowly. The flowers, gardens, architecture, and most of all the views make this worth every step. We arrived on a boat tour and were given 4 hours to explore, The hike from Marina Grande took us through Ana Capri and on to the villa. If you are thinking about it... do it. The views are unparalleled.

This is a very easy hike through the largest, high alpine meadow in all of Europe. The Alpe di Siusi (Italian) or Seiser Alm (German), has many trails to walk on. Situated in northern Italy’s South Tyrol area, it has views that are incredible. And everything in this area is still signed in both Italian and German. It is a very popular skiing destination in the winter also. We made our way from the town we stayed in to Castelrotto, and then just beyond to Siusi, where we took the gondola up to Compatsch. Once off the gondola, you can walk pretty much anywhere. We were going to originally try for the top of Sciliar, but that didn’t pan out this time. So we did this simple loop to get a feel for the meadow. So many options to choose from, I would love to come back here some day and do more of the trails. If ever in this part of Northern Italy, I highly recommend this as a nice easy day spent with endless views.
