Great trail in a volcano. It’s an easy walk, but no shade after the initial section (so can be hot in the summer). Beautiful views if the day is clear.

Most of the trail is along a road where cars travel at 80km+. There are some nice views, but it feels more like walking on the sidewalk to the middle of nowhere than walking on a actual trail. Overall it’s alright, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The views on this trail can’t be beat. It’s an easy to follow trail, some parts more difficult than others. The stairs at the beginning or end are horrible, but well worth it for a hike like this. Grab a sandwich and picnic above the world. ❤️

Decided to take a family hike, me being 22weeks pregnant, my husband and my 8 and 7 year old kids. It was very steep and the trail very slippery. Once we got to a plateau we noticed the trail was extremely overgrown. We were disappointed because we had climb so much only to loose the trail. It would have been a fun challenge if we could have kept moving forward.

The hike up Mount Vesuvius is beautiful! You really can’t go wrong here. Cars park at a lower lot and busses park higher to the crater, so if you come by car it will be a longer hike. The park itself was closed when we came but we were able to get up and see the crater, just couldn’t walk all the way around it. Highly recommend! Gorgeous views!

An incredible trail. The natural and man-made beauty along the way is insane, and the trail allows you to meet some very friendly locals and animals as well. If you do one hike in your lifetime, do this one. Simply amazing.

The most amazing hiking trail I’ve encountered yet. Grab a sandwich from the mom-and-pop grocery and stop at the entrance of the advanced section for a bite before heading upwards. Stay on the lookout for the wild goats, you’ll hear them as you get closer - listen for bell sounds. They’re super nice and will let you feed them.

Naples has something for everyone, history, food and the wonderful people make this walk a must do. It’s any easy walk and you need to go with the flow given how busy the streets can be in the afternoon. Always take care crossing the roads, particularly the bikes are a law until themselves.

This is a hike you will remember for the rest of your life. We hiked from bomerano to the shore of Positano and it was the most amazing hike I have ever completed. The views are so amazing it is hard to comprehend that they are real. If you are visiting the amalfi coast and in good physical condition, I 100% think you should do this hike. I couldn't think of one other thing that I would rather do if I were in this area again. This hike will take you the better part of the day if you plan on taking you time and soaking in all the views, plus stopping in Positano for some much needed food after the long hike.

Also, the trail can be difficult to follow sometimes. Keep an eye out and bring a map.

Nice easy loop around Revello. Most of it on easy to follow steps and alleys but there is a brief 5-10 minute section that is a tiny goat trail. Depending on the season it might be overgrown. There is also a brief 5 minute section along a busy road. The rest is beautiful.

Good break from Napoli if you are nearby. Once it was well kept, nowadays just a path to top of volcano and around crater. Beautiful views to bay from top. Good parking.

This hike has it all. Loved every minute of it and hope to return. Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the trailhead, hike the terrain, take in the sights, and grab a beer after. 10/10.

I loved the scenic view from the start until the end. The thousands steps at the end are a great way to end this trail and to go swimming in Positano as a treat!

good parking. From the crater rim, you can walk down the West side trail to Lago Averno and combine the two walks. Active Fumaroles on the south flank of Monte Nuovo on the trail. not on the main trail

Honestly this was so easy! We saw all ages and body types making their was up to see the crater. Unfortunately we went on a day that was very foggy so we couldn’t see inside but it was super cool to be so close to such a historic site!! Worth the 10 euros!!

path of the goats (because literally goats) is fabulous. i did the reverse. from Positano-starting at the steps near Arienzo SİTA bus stop and hiked up to Bomerano. to go back take SİTA bus from Bomerano to Amalfi and then from Amalfi to wherever.

there is a bus (costs about eu3) from the train station at Pompeii or Orcelano that takes you to the trail ticket office. cost for trail is eu10. trail is about 300 m up the road from ticket office and you need to have those tickets to start the trail. Don't take a taxi. and don't take a taxi going down either. these stop a bit further down at parking lot and don't always go all the way back to a train station. tickets for bus are bought on board. schedule for bus going back is not frequent and remains a mystery.

Breathtaking view all the way to the top!

Vraiment chouette. Très court. Compter 1h 30 entre Bomerano et Nocelle. Après environ 800 m, on peut pendre un chemin par en haut ou par en bas, qui se rejoignent quelques km plus loin.

Didn't make it all the way to the Monte San Michelle peak, as we had a late start - but even the first couple of kilometres of the view (as well as the cable-car) offer fantastic views over the area.

Every corner presented new and beautiful views.

The views over Amalfi and out to the sea are worth the steps! The mills are a nice surprise as well. Go left at the first fork near Amalfi and your hike up won’t be as steep/full of stairs.

One of the rare parts of amalfi where you can get away from the rush and take in the beautiful coastline. I do not advise doing it twice in one day (return journey) as coming from Positano on the return had about 150 floors worth of stairs which hurt coming down, let alone going up after the hike and spending the day in positano, but I have no regrets.

Difficulty : Moderate - Hard, with the stairs the killer whether that be at the start or the end. Saw numerous amounts of older people (65+) struggling at stages but i do believe they all lived to tell the tale!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Enjoyable hike sheltered by trees. Great cafe with local produce at the end of the hike!

A breathtaking walk with panoramic views each corner you turn. The first 50 minutes felt like a tough step class at the gym but then got easier. It’s a must!

A must-do while you are on the Amalfi Coast. The most gorgeous views you will have of the coast line. Everything I had read said the entire path takes 4.5 hours but my wife and I did it in about 2. There are plenty of places to stop along to way, a few picnic tables if you decide to bring something to eat.

I would recommend starting in Bomerano and ending in Positano. It’s much harder if you start in Positano because you have to walk up about 1,000 stairs to even get to the path. The path itself is also more strenuous from the Positano side.

Incredibly breathtaking. It may be one of my favorite hikes of all time. The air is crisp and fresh and the views are spectacular. If you start in Positano and take the steps to Nocelle and then start the path in the very early morning (before sunrise) we found less people, if any at all. I’ll be dreaming about this hike for sometime.

Excellent views of the surrounding areas of Amalfi
