Loved this magical trail up to Villa Jovis. I am a beginner hiker and not in the best shape. I found it steep, but doable going slowly. The flowers, gardens, architecture, and most of all the views make this worth every step. We arrived on a boat tour and were given 4 hours to explore, The hike from Marina Grande took us through Ana Capri and on to the villa. If you are thinking about it... do it. The views are unparalleled.

easy loop along great Mediterranean forest / scrubland out to the arch and including a cute cave. all paved with many stairs, otherwise very easy and well traveled. the main loop can be completed easily in an hour clockwise.

Beautiful hike. All concrete path and steps. Not hard but definitely an aerobic workout on those steps. I think 770 steps. The Arc is breathtaking as are all the views along the way.

beautiful views, hilly! bring water!

Did this a few years ago! So worth it. Late September and early October are the best times to visit Capri. We took a day trip here from Sorrento on a ferry, which was fantastic. Walking Capri is like walking in a dream. The beautiful views will leave you speechless as you walk up the city and charming, very tiny, streets. Bella!

Treat yourself to an overnight stay (or two) in Capri, like I did. My mid-October visit helped reduce crowds, but seeing the island after most tourists leave gives you a more intimate experience with this gem. Capri is riddled with paths to every corner -- explore them! -- you'll find yourself strolling through narrow alleyways of gorgeous gated homes, winding through quiet forests, and landing at the crashing sea with its intricate rock formations. Plus, the paths are dotted with tiny bistros for an unforgettable espresso, wine, or meal break (I had the best clam linguini of my life along this trek!). This path is more walk than hike, but its length and inclines still provide a good workout. Go, enjoy the more remote Capri, away from the typical tourist hangouts!
