lots of stairs but amazing views!! did this hike in 2018 in May.

amazing views! would love to go back again

Bello e facile

The entire trail was not open just portions. The views were beautiful. Absolute must if you visit! This was 11/17/2019

short jog, ends with strawberries

Probably my most favorite hiking trail as a novice hiker. It has the most beautiful views of the Amalfi coast, going through quaint little towns and seeing beautiful wildflowers. I did this with my bf when I had knee pain so it was a little rough to go down all the steps but we accomplished it. The only thing I would recommend if you’re doing it off season, buy your bus tickets back beforehand because the bus drivers do not sell them on the bus! We almost go stranded!

Did this trail the summer of 2019 in the middle of the heat wave in Italy with my 7-year old daughter and 9-year old nephew. There are lots of stairs when you leave Vernazza and we stopped every 15 minutes for water. But this hike is absolutely gorgeous, passing a couple of brooks along the way! The views are spectacular!! It took us two hours on the dot, with stops. I’m surprised this hike is rated as moderate, though. I’ve been on quite a few hikes and this one was more difficult than a lot of the ones I’ve completed due to all the stairs.

spectacular views and fairly easy walking, if you have the right shoes. No car needed We took the bus direct from Sorrento train station to Nerano to start the hike. the bus back went via S. Agata, with a 15 minute change, just enough time for coffee and pastries.

Ce fut très très bien mais par contre , il faut faire un peut d’escalade à la mis parcours , mais , c’était super agréable de le faire dans tout ces rochers

Very incredible walk off the main streets and bustle of busy Italian towns. This coastal walk has lots of up and downs and is rocky but it is extremely rewarding. I would do this again without a doubt. Mind blowing views and an old medieval watchtower awaits!

Great views. We opted not to go to the beach as it was chilly in January. Path was well marked but rocky. Boots are a great idea. It was a solid moderate skill level. We paused a few times to catch our breath. Beautiful sights. Well worth the work.

Great hike, beautiful views. Bring a lunch to have a picnic by the beach. Be careful of the jellyfish in the water. Arrivederci

Fun trail, a bit slippery when wet, some scrambles down by beach area but had some cables - they were useful when light rain covered the rocks. Great views on 2nd half of the decent.

Good trail. Beautiful/one of a kind views. Heavily trafficked (and it was end of October and overcast). Go early. Ocean view Trails are closed if/when it rains hard, which is logical due yo smooth stones of path and hard packed dirt.

4 hour hike that if you are going to do any trails in the cinque Terre this is a must.

A hike you will never forget, challenging but worth it

Much easier this direction than the reverse - the incline is gentle with awesome views of Vernazza. Nice coastal walk with meandering trail. Steep decline at the end but finishes on the beach for a swim!

Nice walk, bit of an incline but easily manageable. Nice views of the coast. Slippery when it’s wet.

An unrelenting climb over moderately rough rocks

Very rocky which it made it challenging as it just rained. Good hike overall and a beautiful view

Trail closed until 2021

Loved the hike. Tough inclines and challenging but the beauty at the top is so worth it.

Cinque Terre Hike

This is my first review. It was a great trip between towns.

Trail was amazing. The stairs are not easy though. I would rate this more as a moderate hike due to the 780 stairs up to the cave and arch from the south side of the path. Everywhere else is gradual incline or decline. If you don’t want to do those stairs. Take the north path from the town to the arch.

We loved hiking this segment! Beautiful!

This was one of my favorite experiences of studying abroad. It is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful if you can avoid the foot traffic. If you have the chance, don’t pass up this hike!
