Great hike, best going counter clockwise. You will climb fast and once you reach the highest point you have a relatively easy way down. the path leades to mount San Nicola at 1950 meters. if you do the counter clockwise hike there will be no water (at least in summer) till you reach the other end of the valley, but by then the trail is almost done. Need to be in good condition.

Schöner und vor allem abwechslungsreicher Weg. Am Startpunkt kann man gut parken und der Weg ist auch ausgeschildert.

I would consider to go further than an indicated parking with a car so you don't waste the energy for plan, long and boring beginning. Road is ok for any type of car even if it is a bit sassy in the beginning. I would also advice to to to Costone occidentale or Rifuggio San Sebastiani

Short trail to the castle if you don't want to be too lazy to drive your car straight to the castle parking.

It's not a loop, but out and back. It's the one like "demo" of Majella national park, so in the end of it Majella will show you a piece of its majesty and wild beauty. The view to the canyon is simply breathtaking. I'll be definitely back, these mountains are something more, you can feel like back in the ancient world.

Nice and smooth trail combining deep, fairytale-look-a-like forests with great views on the top of the plateau. The elevation is reached really easy.

Amazing trail, great adventure, stunning views. Not very well maintained however track posts and hiking stone piles guide the way. Beautiful flowers along the way. Solid leg workout. Would recommend to everybody.

My husband and I were visiting the National Park and decided to make this day hike. It was my second hike ever, and it was the hardest I have ever done so far! My husband and I are very active and fit people, this one was a tough cookie! Be sure to have at least 3 big bottles of water and a sandwich to restore your energy once at the top, because I am telling you the first half all going uphill, it’s a bitch! But once completed, you will feel so happy and satisfied! The view is beautiful, of course. We encountered a fox, that we didn’t feed because part of wild nature, nor touch her, we just took a pic with it! :) be sure to have hiking sticks, we didn’t have any and we improvised with tree branches. Hiking shoes are a must to protect your ankle and knees, since this trail is very hard on your joints. Just be psychologically prepare and you’ll have a blast!

Easy trail with beautiful scenery. Went in winter and certain parts of the trail covered in ice, but overall a great way to spend a few hours.

Great trail, but some bits are risky, especially with unstable gravel. Bring some sunscreen and enjoy the amazing views.

Great hike. You'll see a historic church, herds of sheep, and taste delicious mountain water along this hike. Always left before sunrise because there is limited shade. Great spot for lunch and some rest at the top.

This is the most standard route up Corno Grande; the highest mountain in middle Italy. The last few hundred meters to the top is a rocky scramble. You should be confortable in rocky terrain and have a good head for heights.
