When do leaves change color in 2026?
Peak fall colors generally move from north to south and from high elevation to low, starting in late September in New England and the high Rockies and running into early November in the Southeast. Elevation is often the biggest factor, which is why two trails relatively close together can have different peaks.
How accurate is the map?
In well-travelled areas we're utilizing thousands of photos and reviews. In quieter places we lean on four years of history and weather patterns.
