Great little walk with a lively climb to finish. It’s suggested that this is the best glen on the island and after seeing it today in all of its spring-splendour, I wouldn’t disagree. The walk takes you across the Sulby Dam, before a quick drop to bring you alongside the river and a gentle saunter to meet the road. Here you’ll have a chance to look at the great job the private owners have made of the old Tholt-y-will pub, before you start to climb up the other side of the valley. After a steep little ascent, you then drop down into the centre of the glen and the highlight of the walk. It is simply stunning, with a lovely waterfall tumbling down into deep pools. The whole area being shrouded with bluebells just added to the scene. A fairly steep climb out of the glen brings you back to the road and a gentle downhill finish to the car park. If you’re looking for a shortish walk with enough hills to get the heart going and views to match, this is highly recommended.

Very scenic route, it was a little windy but it’s a lovely walk on a sunny day.

Beautiful walk, but we couldn't do the last section as there was a sign clearly stating it was on private land. The section we did was lovely though and we would definitely do it again. Take care on the boardwalks as they are slippery, even on a dry day.

The hike is on the closed Marine Drive road. Very easy with beautiful seascape views. Dogs are allowed but pick up after them.

I did the short hike from Port Erin to the Calf of Man. Beautiful clear day, lots of wind, Heath and sheep. Don’t wear shorts because of the Gorse shrub, with its sharpe needle like leaves, is everywhere.
