There's no road biking here... don't know who thought that was a thing. mountain biking on the forest roads for sure. and seeing it has the same start as all the other trails in the area (leterkeen loop, nephin beg and the Bangor loop trail) you're probably going to hike-a-bike in a few places. lovely area, just badly mapped out.

Cycled on a gravel bike from The convention centre Dublin to Maynooth. Nice path as far as Ashton and then the real fun starts for a few km. proper forest like tracks with roots and rocks in the muck. Once past Deep Sinking it is gravel and grass.

Picked up trail from beach. Couldn't do loop as could find access point. On road. Good views at highest point but would not recommend.

Not spectacular but relaxing and surrounded by vegetation the entire time.

A great walk which you can basically start (and finish) in Cork City centre. The walk is pretty much totally flat so it’s not all challenging although the distance is great enough that you’ll probably be tired by the end of it. It’s well paved asphalt all the way so very suitable for bikes, scooters, buggies and whatnot. Nice views of the harbour and the river along the way. Plenty of benches and grassy banks to take a break on. Stop for lunch and a beer in Blackrock. Highly recommended.

Very nice city walk, giving you the possibility to be in the city but at the same time connect with nature and escape from the hustle. You can walk, ride your bike or go on your rollerblades and enjoy the good pavement conditions in n the walk. I will try it again definitely with my scooter .

Walk from Leixlip to Drumcondra. Took about 3 hours, 30 minutes. Easy level walk, mostly on paved or gravel surface, some sections on grass/mud. Nice walk from rural to urban area.

Part of the walk - through a field - is now inaccessible, and another along a busy enough road.

It isn't really a trail - it was a walk down an asphalt road with no sidewalk or shoulder. Speed limit is 50 mph on parts and 35 on some. It wasnt that safe considering the road is a typical Ireland road where 2 cars can barely pass each other. There is one part off the road where you walk a trail through a meadow to a castle and that part was pretty. Oh and there is no loop. It is in and back unless you walk through private property.

Nice well paved river path that brings you close to the city centre with lovely bird viewing. Continue along O'Callahan Strand for duck & swan viewing & feeding, great for the kids, and onto Clancy's strand for the Treaty stone, King John's Castle and other historical sights.

an excellent opportunity to test your 10km running times. start from the square in clifden, run to the car park at the top of the sky road and back down again, a tough but very enjoyable 10km challenge with breath taking views.

A beautiful walk, with a gorgeous view of the Atlantic and of the Twelve Bens. Highly recommend as either a drive or a hike.
