Lovely trail, I personally tried to walk quite close to the river but if you do so be mindful cause it’s very slippery! If you follow the route, the trail is totally fine and safe. I found this trail very different than the Irish trails I’ve done so far, the atmosphere it’s absolutely stunning! 100% recommended.

loved this trail beautiful views

Great day out. The path is quite stony on the red trail at least so make sure you have the proper shoes. Gorgeous views and lovely forest trail. It's a potty they are felling some of the trees there right now though.

Went for a morning bike ride. Following the blue trail markers the climb was horrendous. You would need legs of steel to get up there. I had to hike most of the way. But it was worth it for the views at the top of the trail. The first leg took me about 40 minutes. After a break at the top the descent only took about 10 minutes with practically no peddling on the way down. If your trying to challenge yourself.... this is the place to do it.

The way is like a gift, everything is beautiful, the lakes, the stone wall, I advise to start by the lake curra the prospects are more interesting in this direction.

Great hike and some fantastic views on the way to the top

Moderate if your physically fit it's quiet a hike to the lake definitely take the short cut no need to be martyrs

great app

It's always my favourite place and I always recommend to my friends as first destination to explore near Limerick. My 3 year old enjoys the little adventure walking next to the river.

Really nice trail. Today the weather was clear and sunny. I started the hike in the morning and it was pretty warm at the start. I recommande to wear layers to adapt temperature variation. It was kind a windy. I also strongly recommend everybody to wear waterproof shoes! Luckily I didn't took my light shoes, even with nice and dry conditions the hills are pretty muddy and watery. The views are fantastic and you can even go for a bigger trail from there! It took me 4:30 in total including 1h rest on the top for lunch and sight seeing. Very happy of the hike!

one of my favourite places to go for an easy yet enjoyable peaceful walk. When the Rhodedendron are in bloom it's stunning. Ample parking, picnic tables, toilets & kids play are also.

Beautiful area but sadly the first half of the route (if going clockwise) is interrupted by substantial logging and clearcuts. Very sad to see poor logging methods being used (cutting right down to the creek/river beds leaving no protective barrier). The second half of the trail was really lovely.
