Erm.... This starts in the middle of four trails, walks out of the car park and into nowhere and then back up into the middle of nowhere again. Start in the car park marked Leterkeen loop trail... walk out of the car park and up the forest road. There's a cute bridge and a sand bank in the river where the sheep hang out. Just turn back when you've had enough.

There's no road biking here... don't know who thought that was a thing. mountain biking on the forest roads for sure. and seeing it has the same start as all the other trails in the area (leterkeen loop, nephin beg and the Bangor loop trail) you're probably going to hike-a-bike in a few places. lovely area, just badly mapped out.

This, the Bangor loop and nephin beg are basically the same thing. The start is really messy from the car park... once you get over the bridge the whole thing just stops, which is confusing but I guess that part is more for people in cars that don't want to walk to far. it's a lonely place so you would need a few people with you as there's no phone signal through most of it. Don't go over the wooden bridge on a mountain bike unless you want to hike-a-bike.... You're better off going out the car park and up the logging road.

It's remote. I know they say "lightly trafficked" but you'd want to be a serious hiker to be out there on your own. And the tags suggest it's for mountain biking but for that you'd need to go back out the car park and head up the logging road because the other way isn't even an actual trail... it's bog with different paths everywhere because people don't know where to go. It's an awesome place, just disappointing they put loads of effort into a nice car park and picnic area but left out half the actual trail. and it's basically the leterkeen loop under a different name.

Trail was well marked and easy to follow. There is one very steep climb - but otherwise, the trail was easy. Views were beautiful - despite some ugly weather. Wind can be very intense.

There are 3 paths possible that you can take. it is the same beginning and the purple trail is the longest and the hardest (regular mud during the trail) The one that is present here is the red one (medium size)

Nice easy walk, we are used to long walks so a bit short, but if you want a little stroll through the woods it’s great. Better still grab a picnic and site by the lake after, with lovely views.

really nice trail bit covered in sections but overall moderate walk our 5year old completed no problem really well marked and set up
