This famous Irish hike begins and ends at a trailhead in Glenbarrow. It is typically completed in four days.
Beginning on the Ridge of Capard before heading down to the Monicknew Bridge, the hike then passes through tree laden hills in Gorteenameale before traversing an ancient route over the Glendine Gap below the impressive Arderin mountain. The trail then parallels the River Camcor before crossing the Silent River Valley, and then heading up Spink hill and down again into the Glenkeen Valley. Lastly, hikers will cross Glendineoregan and Knocknastumba to meet up with the River Barrow, which you will follow back to the trailhead.
