There's a lot of small path to the bank of the lake and they're worth going, you'll miss a lot going only on the known path :)

Great waterfall! The ideal view is in the beginning and at the top of the stairs overlooking Muckross lake. After that, you take a nice easy walk through the woods. It is beautiful in early June when the rhododendrons are blooming!

Best hike I have ever done but have to admit most extreme also. Fun begins where trail ends, fog and wind doesn't help cos you can't see more then 5m ahead and especially when you meet group of people with helmets and ropes and all you have is just a backpack with the water bottle.

Very challenging! The “ladder” part of the devils ladder does not disappoint! All very step and loose rocks. Definitely not something for beginners as when we spoke with locals all they could talk about was all the deaths that happened over the years. View from the top is very rewarding!! Good luck ya’ll.

Pedestrian at first but the loop is like an enchanted forest and good waterfall - wish the forest part was longer but a really cool hike!

This is a wonderful trail over rugged wind-swept hills. We saw another person only rarely. Beautiful secluded waterfall midway (suitable for the first of May). First half is on gravel road; second half on stones and wooden boards over the marshy bits.

Very easy path to follow. Lovely hike. parked in Kate kearneys from there it's about 1km to start of trail. From start to finish about 2.5 hours. We took our time. Fabulous views at the top

Super fun short trail! It was beautiful and even with the fog the views at the peak were stunning. Recommended!

Just out for a stroll and saw the path. First Irish Peak! Path was clear, easy to follow, and we were quick to reach the top. Nice views, even with the overcast skies. Plenty of sheep scattering in front of us; the deer stood still for photos. Beautiful flowers on the Mountain Ash and purple flowers on other bushes. Overall, a good wake up from driving all day.

For having done twice this hike at 2 different times of the year, the place is beautiful and the nature breathtaking

Great views, difficult but well worth it. Coming down devil's ladder is abit dodgy in places but take time it's fine.

Can also go great with buggy!

Love doing Torc Mountain, 3rd time now doing and time is getting better each time today did it in 42mins delighted. Fantastic views well worth it

Amazing views but not easy for beginners. Took us about 6 hours to complete (possibly more with breaks). Scambling and sometimes almost climbing needed towards the end of the Devil's Ladder, but totally doable as this was my first mountain hike:) We decided to go down through the Zig-Zags.

Great hike on Sunday 5th May 2019. Unbelievable views all the way up the devil's ladder on a sunny day. Went up and down the devil's ladder. Challenging but worth it!

One of the most incredible hike we have ever had. It's absolutely more then we expected. I tooks 6 hours for us up and down, special boots are really necessary. The view on the top is breathtaking.. You can see all Killarney, Atlantic ocean and other mountains. Highly recommended.

Great trail, gets a bit steep, boardwalk and stepping stones. Be careful when wet, they have put white mesh down instead of the wire and it's quite slippy in parts.

Nice walk, waterfall is lovely, after that gets a bit steeper. We took the red trail so lot of incline and loose rock. Bring plenty of water!

Excellent trail with wooden sleepers to walk on where the ground is soft

Epic hike. Stunning views if you get a clear day. When I went up there were low clouds but they cleared when I was at the top and wow the view! Epic!

The start of the walk is very busy as far as the visual waterfall during busy periods and weekends with loads of tourists and horse and carts. Dogs are very welcomed once they can behave with horses. Nice little climb up hill with lovely natural shading and he distant sound of the waterfall!!

Lovely trail and easy to follow. The path is well laid out and its not too strenous if you take your time so great for beginners. Gets pretty windy at the top though, so you do need to watch your step on the last climb up to the top. Waterproof boots are a must. Great views on the way up and even better from the top!

A stunning hike - took us 4 hours including plenty of short stops to enjoy the stunning views. Red deer spotted up on the mountain and plenty of skylarks. We were lucky to have a clear day and could see right across the lakes and to many mountains in the distance. Make sure you have water and some snacks with you for sustenance. All in all - a very rewarding challenge!
