mucky boggy start from kenmare ascension. 6k of boggy wet conditions. opens into different treks. Boreens rock fields bogs and roads. At 17k, you end up on a main road. I turned and walked back from here after walking down to the strand first fir a rest.

Nature tripsBridge outGreat!

Great for running! We did an out-and-back run. The path is well kept apart from one fallen walkway, but there is a good alternative. The route is relatively flat - good for running!

Amazing trail, varied, with mountain and coastal views. Incredible restaurants en route. The only piece we didn’t like was coming into Camp along the toad. (2/3km). This was dangerous. Go on the beach and avoid the road. Otherwise 5 stars!

A gorgeous hike when you get to the clearings and can see out to see. A mixture of woods, a small waterfall and spectacular quiet views. I went in summer but I'd say the track can be very wet in spots in winter.

I can't understand why this is said to be Co. Donegal. Surely this app is monitored for accuracy. This is in Co. Kerry. Glenveigh in Donegal is a different place. Disappointing. I hope to undertake this hike in the near future. I'm sure it is beautiful.

We heard this hike was muddy and mostly through roads - not too appealing - so we hitchhiked and skipped this day of the Kerry Way.

Lovely views - highly recommend Our specs: We are in shape, 24 years old; we hiked this trail mid-October. The whole week was rainy, though the day we hiked this was sunny and beautiful out. Trail was in and out of mountain range as well as beach and rocks. The trail was quite muddy due to recent rain. Sheep all over made for a pleasant interaction with the country-side. The ocean view and island spotting parallel to us also made for a pleasant and comforting walk.

This was a fun hike and we took the alternate coastal route. Great paths and views. However, more road walking than I’d like.

HikingMuddyNo shade

The first part of this was beautiful but it’s through a lot of pastures and we had to hike through a lot of muck. We were lucky that it had been dry for a few days, this hike would be miserable in the rain. We took a wrong turn at the top of the second hill, instead of turning right and going along the ridge, we ended up on the “alternate route” to Caherdaniel, so we had about 4 miles of road walking to get back on track (which was boring!).

This is a challenging section of the Kerry Way and about 4 miles longer than the guide book. It’s very muddy and rocky. This route takes you to Blackstone House via the road for the last 4 miles. We skipped the road and too the old Kerry Way though the countryside which ultimately didn’t save us any time. Beautiful views!

Loved this bit. Wide open mood with lots of ancient rock markers on the trail. Great views and some historical bits at the end.

Gorgeous views and very nice walk through fields of sheep - we took the Mass Path to the beach as well which was lovely by the water.

This is a wonderful trail over rugged wind-swept hills. We saw another person only rarely. Beautiful secluded waterfall midway (suitable for the first of May). First half is on gravel road; second half on stones and wooden boards over the marshy bits.

Gorgeous route running above the road we’ve driven many times. Stunning sea views. A track most of the way then the option to climb a few hundred yards to a peak.

Stunning hike from Glenbeigh to Kells Vo Kerry. Some incredible spots looking over the best sea views Ireland has to offer. Very quiet route today, only sounds of sheep & birds to meet you company. A must do if your in the area!

easy for most of the trail. some uneven rocky bits particularly at the beginning of the Derrycunnihy church to Torc section. lots of up and down. beautiful day, we did the two car method, drove to killarney left one car there, then on to kenmare and walked from there. needed lots of water to drink along the way, took just under 5 hours.
