#1 - Bunbeg, Maheraclogher Beach
Machaire Chlochair, County Donegal, IrelandLength: 2.2 mi • Est. 55 m
This is an easy walk on Maheraclogher beach in Bunbeg. A small Gaeltach village Bunbeg means in Irish "a small river mouth". Bunbeg is a smallest townland in Gweedore and surely you came across its famous Eddie's Boat (a shipwreck from 1970s). Eddie's Boat (Bad Eddie in Irish) is an abandoned fishing boat. This shipwreck is well know from Irish northwest guide books and Gweedore post cards. Walk along a beach to Tramore beach and back, climb a small hill called Inishcolle. It is worth your visit!
