Amazing hike. Wear some good footwear I rolled my ankle twice. When you reach the top don’t head straight down head right and you’ll find a great cliff rock.

Did part of this on 18.01.20 , from car park to Lug and back . Very nice walk , ground freezed so no mud . Some snow on the top .

Did this in 2019 october.was flooded in lot places, most of the time was very heavy fog ,on the top very windy and freezing ,met group of hikers ,saw one lonely person ,as my self ,fox followed me and showed me wright direction, was ready for everything so really enjoyed my hike .lost once a bit ,took me some extra time ,total 5h 30 min

I did the trail over 2 days and stayed in a B&B. The first part Knockree to Roundwood was challenging enough and breathtaking. The second half was more on paths and roads. Overall this hike is amazing. Second half would work for children. Not the first one.

Very nice walk, quite easy. Did this September, was very very windy on the top...

We heard this hike was muddy and mostly through roads - not too appealing - so we hitchhiked and skipped this day of the Kerry Way.

Lovely views - highly recommend Our specs: We are in shape, 24 years old; we hiked this trail mid-October. The whole week was rainy, though the day we hiked this was sunny and beautiful out. Trail was in and out of mountain range as well as beach and rocks. The trail was quite muddy due to recent rain. Sheep all over made for a pleasant interaction with the country-side. The ocean view and island spotting parallel to us also made for a pleasant and comforting walk.

This was a fun hike and we took the alternate coastal route. Great paths and views. However, more road walking than I’d like.

The first part of this was beautiful but it’s through a lot of pastures and we had to hike through a lot of muck. We were lucky that it had been dry for a few days, this hike would be miserable in the rain. We took a wrong turn at the top of the second hill, instead of turning right and going along the ridge, we ended up on the “alternate route” to Caherdaniel, so we had about 4 miles of road walking to get back on track (which was boring!).

This is a challenging section of the Kerry Way and about 4 miles longer than the guide book. It’s very muddy and rocky. This route takes you to Blackstone House via the road for the last 4 miles. We skipped the road and too the old Kerry Way though the countryside which ultimately didn’t save us any time. Beautiful views!

Loved this bit. Wide open mood with lots of ancient rock markers on the trail. Great views and some historical bits at the end.

A moderate level hike with spectacular views of Lough Tay and Lugalla. A mixture of boardwalk and stony grass terrain. Definitely one to do.

Randonnée agréable mais les paysages ne nous ont pas époustouflé. Beaucoup de moutons et de prairies, peu de cours d’eau

Gorgeous views and very nice walk through fields of sheep - we took the Mass Path to the beach as well which was lovely by the water.

Great start to Wicklow Way. You're walking roadway at the beginning and into the forest.

Good fun. Not too challenging but a nice mix in terms of length of the trail and the climb. Stunning views

A challenging but amazing walk with lots of really nice views. Did it in 6 days with a friend and we stayed in B&Bs along the way. Had a grand time.

In my opinion: best part of the Wicklow Way. Truly stunning. Walk through town to beautiful hills, the waterfall and fields.
