Good trip!

The walk is in Sandymount no where near Garristown for people who don't know the walk. Wear a decent pair of waterproof shoes as the water can come up and the path is rough, easy to trip on without walking shoes. The pier was built by the notorious Earnest Bligh yes him of "the Bounty" It's not pleasant at mo due to two and threesomes walking beside each other... knowingly doing so. Great walk to take a picnic & a pair of binoculars with you to see the ferries, Dublin port or the many sea birds on the rocks.

I live in Bray and walk the Cliff Walk regularly. Use the car park on the Head overlooking the town. It’s free and safe. Start of the walk is meters from car park. Fantastic views on sunny days but equally good in less favourable conditions. Enjoy the walk, the sights, the fresh sea air and lots more. If you climb to the cross at the top of the Head views are even more spectacular and there is a Loop Walk of the Head which takes you way above the Cliff Walk, super.

Tried this trail on Sunday day morning as a familyof three. We liked the trail in general but because of dirt and moisture on the tracks, we only managed a part of the loop of around 4km. We definitely will be back in dryer weather.

Sorry for low rating Poolbeg - a great walk as always & a beautiful day. Unfortunately decided to turn back as just too busy in the social distancing virus times. Some joggers don’t seem to have copped on yet - breathing heavily as you close pass by people is still spreading droplets from your breath. Fully understand of course that people want to get out on such a beautiful day - I was one of them - will look for somewhere a little less crowded.

A fantastic walk with amazing views, especially on a sunny day. Would highly recommend.

Very muddy had to keep looking down at the paths trying to keep yourself upright even with a pole. Spoiled the enjoyment of the area as you could not take your eyes off the pathway.

Nice walk with nice views. It's my second time doing this trail and I'll be back again to do the Bray Head Loop.

New pathway is excellent along the head land attracting a lot of casual walkers. Plenty of Porpoises to see between end of headland and beginning of South beach.

Excellent trail with lovely views of the lake and river along the way!! January made it a bit muddy and wet in places but overall warmly recommended!! Note comments on parking!! We had the same difficulties finding white sands car park and ended up on a road less travelled!!!
