Amazing trail that gives you a panoramic view of the great Himalayan range, rivers, walking through a dense forest, meadows, Flora, Fauna, and photography, and can be a perfect start for beginners and nature lovers.

An excellent trail into the heart of Garhwal Himalaya and If you do just one trail in Indian Himalayas this one to the source of Ganges with the shadow of the mighty Shivling and Meru peaks

My first legit trek, quite arduous but end is worth the hype, under the star lit sky and hot water spring.

This isn't a particularly stenurous hike, but is definitely very unsafe, dangerous and treacherous. The trail is not kept in a good condition, resulting in places where a slip of the foot will result in a drop into the ravine. There are spots where the trail has been washed out. Hikers don't tend to stick to the trail and take several shortcuts resulting in divergent trails that are more dangerous. There have even been numerous deaths in the last 2 months. Do not go here when it starts raining. The mud makes it even more dangerous. https://www.ndtv.com/cities/kheer-ganga-to-barshaini-trek-himachal-pradesh-woman-trekker-dies-after-being-hit-by-falling-rocks-2046627 https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/shimla/tourist-dies-while-trekking-in-kullu/articleshow/69016581.cms

good

Amazing hike! Wouldn’t say it’s particularly easy, but not hard. Steady incline for about 5 hours. Climbed up to a rainbow gathering and stayed for a few days. The chai shops are wonderful and sitting in the hot springs under the stars is sooo worth it. Stunning place.

Just seeing Mount Shivling makes this hike worthwhile. We stayed in a tent camp about a 30 minute hike shy of Gaumukh which was very inexpensive and included basic meals. Wildlife was incredible. Had a touch of altitude sickness, so hiked back down to Gangotri the next day.
