Excelent trail!

The end of the hike is the best part, the rest is mediocre views with flat terrain. Good for inexperienced hikers

The sjona-sker section of the trail is much more desolate and less crowded. The views are fantastic

I was very lucky, it was a beautiful day, the sky was clear and the wind was still. Then it's an amazing view especially at the peak.

Pretty but too many people, no peace!

short, 0,75 hard.

An easy loop to see the beauty of the national park in an hour. All on the well paved walking routes in the park. Some steep sections, all with wooden stairs. Starts at the viewing area next to car park P1. (parking costs 750 krona, cards taken)

Just an okay nature walk. Lots of tourists. Much better scenic views to take in.

I put 5 stars on a lot, but this was truly amazing and worthy of the best rating. Going clockwise is easier to hike but counter clockwise is a better view

This trail is beautiful!! Only has to be 1.4 miles RT if you don’t go all the way. A must do if you are in the area Also recording is WAY longer than it should be. We took tons of pictures and took our time

Beautiful hike with beautiful view of the glacier at the top. Nice detour by the falls. Start with the S6 clockwise to keep the best for the end!

beautiful waterfall, not hard ro get to, go mid day for best light

Gorgeous hike along the glacier. Bring your camera.

Amazing views and totally worth the effort! This place is truly unique and feels like you’re exploring another planet. The mountains looking like colourful paintings and there’s steam coming up from the rocks in some areas which is super cool. Majority of the trail is flat and easy, but the trek up the mountain is pretty steep and hard at times. The trail was pretty busy when I was there during September. The weather can change very quickly so come prepared.

Easy, fairly flat trail. Quite a bit on the road but you’re going through lava fields which is quite nice. Lots of nice views on the way. The lake itself is okay. I did this hike because my legs were dead from the day before, so I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something flat.

Loved this one

Easy trek, some hills, views are great. Get their early, parking is free and no crowds!

Easy walk, pretty waterfall but so many that are better.

Main event lasts maybe 5 seconds and then you wait 7 minutes to see again. Just a walk around the area. Honestly, could've passed up this one. Loads and loads of people IG'ing and not truly paying attention to nature.

very well maintained trails, easy to find our way, and so excited to finally see Svartifoss. Nice view of the glacier, and a surprise caldera on the way.

Easy but with rain

Nice trail that goes through the park - easy walk. Waterfall itself isn’t the most fantastic in Iceland but the park is worth a walk through.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful hike I have ever done. The most scenic views throughout the entire hike. Did the trail 3-5 sept with 2 nights in huts. Day 1: 12k, day 2: 28k, day 3: 15k. The trail is well marked and overall of moderate difficulty. If you use this app to check if you are still going the right way you will be fine (also works in flight mode). Weather conditions can change quickly, so come prepared. Water shoes or sandals are a must since you have to cross about 4 rivers, varying from ankle to knee deep. Good luck!
