Easy hike on a fairly easy surface. Once you get to the river take note the further up you go the warmer the water is. There is a cool stream that meets the thermal water which marks where you can comfortably relax. This is about halfway up the walkway. Get there early as it will certainly fill up.

Trail around the crater. Great views but not too exciting.

Nice hike; a bit steep in the beginning but great views. Solitary even in the main tourist season.

Not really a trail more like a walk around the crater

The infomation is a bit missleading because this is about 7 km walk both ways

Short distance, but a major work to get up. Trail is pretty difficult find and isn’t well marked. The view is incredible though!

Awesome views and very short easy hike ! Cost 400 but I hiked it very early in the morning zero people to pay also zero people here! I did both hikes both very worth it!

Nice view over the crater, but it is not a hike, more like a walk around tourist attraction. It cost 400 isk to enter.

Great hike. Views are amazing.

The hike is relatively easy and short but I had done so much hiking on this trip by the time I did this it was a welcome reprieve. That said, I think it’s actually quite a beautiful little hike and the end with the hot springs was super duper dope. They’re actually seriously hot by the way. Done some other springs where it was like warm at best. These can get really hot depending on which part of the river you’re in. I saw another hike that connects to this. I bet it is also sweet.

Beast of a hike even though it’s short. Super steep with incredible views. Road walk up to the trail which is pretty obvious at least in the summer. Then it’s basically straight up. The way back down is a bit of a rock slide but overall a wonderful time.

We entered the trail beside the quarry. It was a bit too wet, windy, foggy and muddy. Unsure footing, loose rocks and so on. If you go there, watch out for the weather.

Very cool, easy access, I wasn’t able to record this but it was a pretty unique to check out! Loved the surrounding views of the valley. We got a very clear and windy day.

Not a terribly difficult climb, but loose rocks made for unsure footing. I would not rate it as "easy" however, closer to a medium because of footing.

the hike itself if meh and the trail is crowded. but the reward is worth it soaking in the warm spring water was great

Fantastic and at the end you can have hot bath!

We hiked this trail in February after a big snowfall. We thoroughly enjoyed this hike including jumping into the natural Hot Springs while it was snowing. I would rate this trail is moderate difficulty but the foot deep snow made it a difficult trek for most people.
