Set off from the parking lot in Sleggjubeinsdalur. From there lay the path up to Sleggjubeinsskarð. From Sleggjubeinsdal you can enter Innstadal, but this route instead continues up to Húsmúli. There you get a view of Vífilsfell and the surrounding mountains. Continue to rise slowly in the north-east. At some point, you will probably have to climb snow. On the way back down head to Innstadal and over Sleggjubeinsskarð down to Sleggjubeinsdal. Wonderful views in Hengill with many colors, smoke from the earth and if the weather is great a full view of Þingvellir and his lake.Show more
