Nice hike to the summit of the Mosfell mountain in the Mosfell Valley called Mosfellsdalur. The hike starts next to the farm and church to join the summit. Great views to Esjan and Reykjavík and offshore. In Saga times Egill Skallagrímsson of Egils saga spent his last days at Mosfell and the story goes that he buried two chests of silver coins in the area.Show more
