Pretty easy hike that pretty much stays covered. Today it was raining so was perfect temperatures for a small hike. I clocked 3.48 miles and 745 ele gain. I took the path right at the sign as I like the elevation at the end. The jurassic sign is gone so when so turn right at the T for the loop. Someone has been terrific and placed cairns at the trail entrances. Enjoy!

Very nice hike. Not too steep. No views but nice forest. Bike trails look like great fun. They did not interfere with the hiking

Pretty slick, I think it might’ve rain last night. I would say it’s not that difficult if you’re active. Just technical, definitely watch your step and wear shoes with traction. Be ready to get muddy and bring your bathing suit if you wanna swim! Also we saw the waterfall, there was a decent amount of water coming down. Parked on the side of the street a little bit down

Nice, easy hike with great payoff in terms of views. It's paved the whole way, but is a constant incline so if you're someone like me with weak ankles I'd still recommend some sturdy shoes. Also, no shade so definitely bring a hat and lots of water! We climbed down to the tide pools as well which was awesome, the best path down was marked on the rocks and it was super neat down there!

On private property and posted so you can’t even get to the start of the trail. All gates are closed.

Please be mindful of the animals and their habitat. Definitely a must go for all adventurers out there! The wife and I decided to hit the mountain bike trail and it was so fun. The trail was filled with puddles from all the rain the previous days, so we rode to the beach side of the trail. Magnificent views of the horizon, wildlife, and mountains! Definitely a peaceful time being that there were no more than five people out. Go early in the morning to watch the sunrise and see some big waves. Definitely coming back in December to catch bigger waves! Enjoy!

A great easy hike for our family outing. The views were stunning of the ocean and inland. And the bonus was starting and then ending back at Hapuno beach and enjoying a swim and the Sunset.

Aloha! Fun hike. Can be muddy like lots of the ridges out here on island. Definitely not a short one. I hike this trail quite often for many years now. Usually a few times per week. Microspikes are good to have. At minimum please wear proper hiking footwear and be prepared. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @mike.karas or my email mikekarasphotography@gmail.com if you’d like to join me for the hike or for info/other questions about the hike. I’ve done most of the hikes on the island before. Also please pack out your trash! Too many litterbugs on the island sadly. Mahalo!

Beautiful trail. I went on a rainy day but luckily it cleared for the Kodak moments of the canyon. One of the most beautiful payoffs of a trail I’ve ever done. Suggestions: TAKE A HIKING STICK! I couldn’t imagine doing that trail without one. Also waterproof boots with good traction. Lots of water. It’s tough coming back up but worth the views.

This hike was incredible. I was worried about not having proper spikes/traction on my shoes as I just have running shoes & was also worried about not having gloves but I ended up not needing them (although they probably would have been helpful). I was also nervous about the second portion of the hike as I heard that there is rope climbing involved & a very narrow path. Although that is true, it is definitely manageable as long as you watch your step & are prepared for a 7+ hour hike round trip. Make sure to bring water & snacks along the way as well as sunscreen. Apart from that, enjoy the view, they are truly out of this world.

The reviews are misleading. By far, this was not an easy hike. I died 3 times on the way to the top. Good for those who are experienced. Not for the inexperienced such as myself.
