Love, love, love this trail! It was so pretty and so easy! We went at dusk so we were there while the sun set, which was beautiful. Really enjoyed the scenery and thought it was beautiful.

We did this hike from the second trailhead. This is an interesting hike through volcanic rock. Proper shoes should be worn. This a fairly straightforward hike and would be recommended for people of all ages. The blowhole at the end is worth the trip.

Trail was well marked and easy to follow. The views of the ocean were great. This a very good trail for novice hikers. Worth the hike if you are in the area.

Interesting "dragon teeth" rocks, went on a semi rainy day and the waves were very intense and massive splash zones all the way around. Great place for watching whales also

more of a walk than a hike, and a lot of it veers inland away from the beach. Not much shade, so wear sunscreen and take water. Can't beat the scenery.

love this place. Nice hike attracts many people of all ages. Please wear proper shoes and use common sense. Today my husband and I witnessed a father and his two young boys walk up very close to the blowhole & wearing flip flops to boot!!

Relatively short hike with a great reward at the end. The ocean was pretty strong today which made for an impressive site at the blowhole. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes and sunscreen as there is no shade.

Good trail, it's easy and has nice views. Mostly flat. We went after several days of heavy rain and the trail had muddy spots but was quite good. This trail would be good for all ages.

Really cool to check out, but wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to see it unless you are staying fairly close by. The road getting there is very narrow. It’s mostly single road, but two way traffic. Its also a very beautiful drive but only do it if you’re confident in your driving skills.

I did this hike and waihe’e trail on the same day and worked out pretty well.

This is a must do for Maui. I saw folks there with flip-flops, but I wouldn't recommend it. Pretty steep, be warned. Take your time and take it all in.

Beautiful views, plenty of places to stop and have a picnic..

Shoes or boots encouraged for this. You're going down a steep worn dirt path with some rocks along the way. Jagged rocks, not really the kind you want to hold for support or brush against. Must get to the bottom though, it is otherworldly. The rock formations are so cool, massive lava field that looks like it could be the scene of a sci-fi movie. Oh, and there is a blowhole!

Really short hike but good shoes required as you're walking on potentially wet lava rocks. A fall is gonna hurt.
Pretty amazing to see mother nature in action, can't find rock formations like that many other places.

Nice hike but no real views. Good workout with the hills. The golf course is completely over-grown which makes it feel enclosed. 3-4 possible vistas as you get to the reservoir.

Lots of uphill but beautiful hike. Be careful of the Boar.

Super short hike down to the blowhole. I knocked off a star because of how incredibly crowded it was. I would advise hiking boots or at the very least tennis shoes, but you will see people venturing down in flip flops. Be prepared to have a few heart attacks watching children haul ass down the rocks while they're parents meander their way down, oblivious to the danger the surroundings present to their kids.

The blow hole is big and fun! Short hike and a neat thing to see, but there are other places that are 5 star.

Beautiful Views! Easy walk to scenic lookout.

Loved this little hike. Easy so it’s perfect for just about everyone. Stunning views of the ocean. You can go off the path safely here and there and really get some nice perspectives that you don’t see from the path. But be careful because there are no safety fences and looking down at the drops is a bit stomach-turning! We found the Ohai Trail Road quite an adventure as well. Started out at Kihei where we are staying and took the 30N route (past Maui Tropical Plantation). Kind of a Road to Hana type drive with twists and turns, one lane roads and bridges, and beautiful scenic stops along the way. A couple of art galleries and local food vendors, too. Exited the road by Kapalua. Really great way to spend a day!

Go jump from there

This is really short, almost too short to be called a hike, and you can do it in flip flops... but it’s incredible! The landscape is rough and rocky (what I imagine Mars is like)... at one point I brushed up against a rock and it was a good thing I was wearing pants because it would’ve been a cut up leg. We ventured down to heart rock and got some awesome shots of the rock & blowhole. People... please pay attention to the warnings... the blowhole is dangerous and can suck you in and you probably won’t survive. There was a kid there that stuck his head in and all I could do was pray for him.

My mother would not let me get too close, and by that I mean we were a solid 2 football fields away from the blowhole. But besides overprotective mothers, this is a must do! I recommend no children, as it is a pretty steep climb down nothing but rocks. Also I saw some kids about 50 ft away from the hole itself, and I will not lie, I was kinda freaking out. Super dangerous. Still, it is beautiful, and you should do it!!!!!!!

Lovely views of Islands off in the distance, Clean sandy beaches, lovely friendly people, I couldn't ask for anything else!

Steep at first then very flat and easy, short trail. Great views feels like you are walking on mars or another planet! Blowhole is cool too

Easy Trail good for all ages.
