Nice trail, mostly shaded. Doesn’t get really good until the last few hundred yards, no views to speak of until then but it’s a lovely walk through the forest.

Just attempted to hike the trail but due to construction, the trailhead is no longer accessible from the golf course. We ended up getting a ride to the cemetery then taking the Munro trail to the ridge trail then hiking back to Lanai City. Construction workers were not happy that we had to cross the site but there was no other way back. Check before you head out to avoid disappointment.

Nice trail with gorgeous views of Maui and Molokai at the end.

This was a great trail. A lot of it was on a wide path through interesting vegetation. The narrow downhill toward the beginning was muddy and slippery, but we found a couple walking sticks to help us navigate that part. The views are fabulous at the end. Make sure to stay for awhile and soak in the beauty of the islands!

Did this with e-bike. Awesome environment, passing through garden of the gods. Rough, diverse. Green going to red dirt to neverending switchbacks leading to the most isolated beach I’ve ever seen. This would be cool with crossmotor!

Beautiful and easy hike! Lots of shade and the view at the end is amazing.

Tried to find the trail head on this one but no dice. With all the four seasons activity in renovation and construction, maybe things got turned around. Given the last review of 2014, I guess it's the case.

ohv/off road driving
Fri Dec 29 2017

An off-road vehicle a must for this trip. Saw one mountain bike and no hikers, based on the distance and terrain an off-road is best. The beach, once you arrive is nice and secluded but not an oceanfront intended for swimmers, strong current and winds make this a limited water play area.

Lovely hike. Mostly shaded. You’ll see green makers guiding you along- and some of that is on a dirt country rode. You know you’re at the end when you hit marker 14. Notes: The “trail head” of sorts is at the golf pro shop. There is a very small green sign on a tree that indicates the trail start (which begins on a paved golf cart road). The Four Seasons hotel was being reno’d while we were there so parking was easy. Once the hotel opens, well, access will change. Finally, this trail would be unpleasant after a rain- slick clay-mud on this trail would be misery.

An easy out and back with spectacular views! The hardest part is the ferry ride over.

running

Most beautiful trail I've ever run by far. You start on the back lawn of the Four Seasons Lodge at Koele. Then run the red dirt trails that are tree covered with gorgeous foliage. You end up in the open air at cliffs overlooking the ocean. It's a pretty difficult technical trail at times with some moderate hills. Mileage wise, it was less than 5 miles out and back, but there are additional trails to add distance if desired.
