Beautiful hike! I only made the game accessible without a license (4 miles) to the Falls. Part of the falls is painful in the mud but worth it! Otherwise the Napali is incredibly beautiful !!!!!

Did this in slippers with my gf. Trail was mostly dry. If trail is wet, wear trail shoes. Beautiful view of Ke’e beach. Does not give a great sunset view. Must go further down Kalalau Trail for that.

When we went, it was muddy. Very muddy. The falls at the end were nice, but it was pretty gross overall. Would be a fantastic hike if dried out. So, if it has rained recently and you want to get muddy, this is your hike.

We ran a marathon in Poipu near an old sugar mill . Not really a trail. Beautiful!

The hike was nice, but the fog meant we couldn't see the ocean or valley at all. Still a fun hike, and would definitely try it again (in the summer).

Muddy but worth it! Rent a kayak- most places will explain the river and where the trail begins. There will be tons of kayaks at the area you need to get out to hike so you really can't miss it. You do trek through the river several times so wear something you don't mind ruining. Take your time in the muddy areas. The waterfall is AMAZING. You will not regret this hike it was a great one!

2.6 miles is definitely incorrect for the length of the trail “in” We hiked in for at least 3 miles right along the river till the trail completely disappeared and had to stop. The only way I could imagine is continuing forward by climbing through the boulders of the river. The river height seemed to be much higher and stronger currents than what others photos show. Would not recommend on an overcast rainy day. Also, definitely don’t recommend it to be dog friendly, that tag would be incorrect.

this trail is not for the faint hearted. it will throw everything at you. thankfully it was 2.5 miles. read these directions very carefully on this site! it is incredible all the way! wear river shoes and a swimsuit or shorts and embrace the mud and water! wash yourself off almost every 5 minutes in a cornucopia of different spots and enjoy it all.

Definitely would recommend doing this trail in the morning, Because the overall humidity of Kauai definitely gets worse at about 1030 AM. For us it usually rains every day we were here, and because of that, the trail was extremely muddy and slippery. It’s not one of those trails that money here and there but it is one that is constantly muddy. I would recommend bringing soft soled hiking shoes with an aggressive bottom. Otherwise you will be treating it like a slip and slide. Overall the trail is not that long, end it is actually fairly easy if you have the right footwear. There are about four or five places where you can takeAmazing pictures, and at the top the view is one of a kind. I would recommend this trail if you were OK to get muddy and if you’re experienced at hiking.

Paved path that follows the coast . You are literally at the edge of the beautiful waters breaking against the black lava.

Amazing views at the end - the 1.5 miles to get there were decent, not amazing, all jungle.

Easy hike with view all the way to the coast .

We wanted to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately it rained, but we are still on the sleeping giant. Even in the rain we had a lot of fun.
