Last minute search! Heading out tomorrow morning 10/20 and would love a joiner! Kelseycirrito@aol.com if interested :-)

Beautiful hike! I only made the game accessible without a license (4 miles) to the Falls. Part of the falls is painful in the mud but worth it! Otherwise the Napali is incredibly beautiful !!!!!

Hiked this trail to the stairway to heaven on 10/18 alone (ran into people however every 45 mins). Started at 7:30 and ended at 5 (stopped and took lots of pics). It poured rain several times. Bring a rain jacket or poncho ! Be aware, The weather is very unpredictable. It was also cloudy up until 12 with 50 MPH gusts on the top of the ridges (clouds lifted once I got to the top). If I did this again, I would bring gloves and spikes as the mud is slick as ice- there were spots in which I crawled or slid on my feet (controllably) as walking and risking a slip and fall was not worth a chance. The entire hike on the mountain is along the ridge so a foot to your left and right is a complete drop off. The only point at which I questioned if should continue was when a rescue helicopter dropped off a paramedic to assist someone with a sliced hand. One of the most riveting experiences I’ve done and don’t regret this hike! If it’s raining you will be covered in mud. This hike is for thrill seekers and those looking to literally live in the edge. Enjoy!

Biked down the Canyon. Beautiful views.

Loved the views. Biked down Waimea canyon too.

Aloha! I hike a lot and have done a lot of the hikes here on Oahu. Usually out hiking somewhere a few times a week. This is a fun one but you should be prepared and know what the weather will be. Not a short hike. If you have questions about this hike or any other hikes on the island feel free to contact me at mike.karas on Instagram or mikekarasphotography@gmail.com Please pack out your trash. Too many people leave rubbish on the trails out here. Don’t be that person

Wow !! What a great adventure! We started the trail at 6am and came back at 2pm. Breathtaking 360-degree views. I exceeded my limits by walking on the ridges, climbing through ropes. But it's worth it!

My husband and I will be in Honolulu November 5-8 and would love a company to hike with. IG @katelushchik

Planning to do this trail with my gf on oct 24 or 25. Group or guide preferred! Ig @issagram

This is an awesome hike but not easy. I consider myself pretty fit but I don’t hike often and it took me and two other people 8 hours to complete it (round trip). We spent about 1 hour on top taking pictures and videos. I know some people recommend spikes but I don’t think it’s necessary. We all used running shoes but I think hiking shoes would have been better. Gloves however would help greatly. Expect cuts and abrasions and also expect to get muddy. Once you get to the last concrete slab, go a little further until you see a flash flood sign. Got past it a little and make a left, do not go straight (we went straight the wrong way for about half a mile). This is where the hard part begins. Take breaks and go carefully. On the way down, grab onto branches to help carry your weight so it’s easier on your knees. Good luck and have fun. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions @anh_vuong on Instagram

Moanalua Valley to Haiku Stairs this was a cool hike, the first couple miles were beautiful but very rocky, then you hit the sign and the river, just go straight through it and when on the other side beer right. I made the mistake of veering right before the river and ended up 1.5 the wrong way deep in a valley stuck against a dead end adding 3 miles round trip to get back to the right path, challenging adventure but i wouldn’t recommend it. Once at the top i was able to climb around the building and check out the stairs, no guard up there, but instill went down the way i came up to avoid the $1000 fine.

This hike is absolutely stunning and challenging. The first hour and a half is quite easy, you’re walking on the flat road. You’ll end up taking the ridge and there’s your challenge. I went alone and had to stop about 3 hours in (about 45-60 mins away from the top) because I got uncomfortable being by myself and unprepared. One huge thing I’d suggest is get spikes. That will be my next step to complete this hike. Is it do-able without? Probably, but it’ll make it a helluva lot easier if I did have it. Depending on the physical capabilities of your own self and your partners will determine your success of completion and the time up and down. Take it easy and slow down when you need to. Absolutely no shame in stopping and turning around. Take in the views before you leave though. It’s moderately trafficked. I saw a group 30 mins apart at MOST. Parking in the park is 7am-7pm so plan accordingly. Start early! And have fun and embrace the beauty you will see!

This is by far the hardest, yet most rewarding hike I have ever done. You will need good shoes, gloves are a big suggestion. and make sure you have plenty of water and snacks. YOU WILL GET MUDDY! There is no doubt about that. The trail will get quite rough fast and you will need to be prepped to get wet and dirty. about 50% thought you end up on a ridge that's less than a 3ft wide, with steep drops on either side, and then wind will get pretty treacherous so be prepared. There are a few rope up spots; just take your time and be careful. After all that is done, the views at the top are unbelievable.

I woke up early to get a head start on other hikers & it was totally worth it. The trail was quiet & the beach was secluded. I only hiked to the beach & back because I have other trails to explore. Idk that anything will beat the views that this trail has to offer!

Did this on 10/12/19, started at 1pm to try to finish in time for sunset. I started too late—it took me 6 hours with quite a few stops and detours (I have hiker’s ADD haha). I did it counter-clockwise. -IMPORTANT: if you have just one car, park at the end point and hitchhike UP the mountain to start. I did it reverse—parked at the top and tried to hitchhike up at the end, but since it was 7pm when I finished, no one was heading up. I got lucky and snagged a ride with a park ranger before I did something dumb like walking up that narrow road at night. -I wore pants but never needed a jacket, even when I finished the last hour with the sun down. It was windy the whole time, but temperature-wise, it was perfect -Like others have said, the hike is easy (downhill or flat) most of the way, except for the final moderate switchback climb at the end. I wouldn’t rate this hike as “hard”—the hardest part is the length. -Do bring plenty of sunscreen -Views are incredible, and starting in rocky/sandy lava desert and finishing in a jungle-ish setting was very cool -Several people were seen backpacking to the further east parts of the crater, I’d love to do that if I ever return. So much to see down there!
