HikingGreat!

Lovely Trail. Some parts right along shore interspersed with areas through woods and an area of mangroves. Lots of wildlife from land crabs and lizards to humming birds and iguanas. There are some steep rocky sections that could be quite tough for some but overall the going was easy and the trail was good

Well marked challenging hike. Be prepared. Wear proper hiking boots; pole(s) recommended; rain jacket. Completed hike with a group of 8. Slow steady pace; water breaks; snack at summit. Total time 3:15. Very doable.

Wooded trail over varied terrain. Some spectacular views of little bays, caves and surf. Did the first two miles out from St Anne and back as loop from Club Med la Caravelle. Generally easy, but watch footing in areas with loose rock. Rope hand rail on steepest 100 feet or so. Mostly on the bluff over shore, with a couple points of closer access to water. Rugged section of coast.

Warning ⚠ ! after crossing the river for the first time, be sure to continue by the river, rather than climbing the path, cause it's very steep to get down to the river after, and pretty dangerous. However, that's a really beautiful waterfall, even after a huge storm!

C’était très brumeux et venteux, mais on s’y attendait. C’est une très belle activité à faire quand nous sommes en forme, parce qu’il faut être vigilant si il a plu. Les percées de nuage en cours de route nous ont satisfait.

Fun hike. Moderately challenging for a fairly experienced hiker. Took 2.5 hours up and back. Get there before 8am; it starts to get pretty crowded after that and the trails get pretty narrow at some points. In March 2019, portions of the top were closed. The top section gets pretty steep, wet, and cold. Make sure you have good footwear and a rain jacket.

I would recommend this hike to more experienced hikers. The trail has a lot of swamps in the way back and it is very windy at the top. You have to bring waterproof shoes and good raincoats.

My boyfriend and I hiked La Soufrière last week. It was beautiful, but challenging. The loop starting clockwise is better maintained, but very busy until the peak. The top is very windy! Most people return on the same path. The continued loop is very empty and peaceful, and contains hiking links to other important natural places, like waterfalls. This part of the hike is less well maintained and is technically hard, especially when raining. Bring rain gear.

Tough in spots (near the top) but so worth it for the views - especially if you're in the lucky 10% to get a clear day. But it was also very cool to wander around the vents of an active volcano. Getting there by 0800 gets you parking by the trailhead as well as little traffic on the way up, but coming down is crowded.

was a tough climb, not as bad as anticipated, got there early started climbing around 7:30- 8am, not too many people on trail. Alot of people climbing up on our descent. go early and wear hiking shoes/boots and you will enjoy it. a little wet and muddy. but not so bad. some narrow spots . and some scrambling.

Wow what a beautiful hike! It was very foggy and rained a lot when I went but it was still an incredible sight! Raincoat and a good pair of hiking boots is a must. Very rocky, slippery and steep. Took us about 4.5 hours to finish the hike, starting from Bains Juanes. This hike was tough! I’m still feeling it days later but so worth it.
