Sifnos, Greece Map

Great trail with secluded beach for a swim. I prefer doing the loop counter clockwise, nicer views and you don’t have to climb the rocky, rather steep canyon up to the ridge above Platy Yialos in the sun without shade.

Most of the trail is off-road, through farmland and very scenic. Lots of animal poop along the way, I wouldn’t wear sandals! The last part of the trail is on the main road, fairly well-traveled even in September. Not all drivers give walkers much space, and there isn’t always much shoulder area. That part was less enjoyable. Pretty easy to accomplish, even for this not-so-fit Nana.

Extremely well-marked, uncrowded trail in Sifnos in late June. Varied and interesting terrain. Start off early in the morning as it gets extremely hot, very little shade protection for second half. Nice swimming spot for a break half way through. Challenging at times but no scrambling.

Great hike from Vathi to Fikiada, a very beautiful beach, only accessible by boat or foot.

Très chouette randonnée.. si vous désirez vous baigner dans la mer, faites plutôt à Kastro, la plage est plus praticable.

Beautiful hike. Highly recommend. Should probably be classified as hard relative to other Greek island trails. If you follow the way AllTrails recommends, it stars with a big incline (45 mins to 1 hr), which is the strenuous part, and about halfway there is a beautiful beach that is only accessible by trail or boat. All in should take about 3-4 hours, plus however long you spend at the beach

We walked from Kamares to Apollonia and it took us about 2 hours. I imagine it's nicer the other way around, going down rather than up, and ending on the nice beach. We didn't meet a single person the entire way (end of May). A lot of the path was overgrown with some spiky plants. Make sure to wear long trousers and closed shoes. Overall, a nice experience.

Incredibly beautiful and mostly a great trail! The trail snakes through a beautiful section of terraces with a great view of the ocean. One small section was a bit overgrown
