Best trails in Lilienthal, Lower Saxony

The Lilienthaler Radlundweg Li4 starts at the Falkenberger Kreuz and runs through several villages and districts whose appearance are typical for the Teufelsmoor. The first point on the route is the district of Trupermoor, where the peasants dug their peat around 1700. Continue through Klostermoor to Lüninghausen, a peat colony founded by Findorff. In a loop, the route now leads through more peatlands to Worphausen and Schrötersdorf, which was originally intended as a craft village and whose name goes back to the Lilienthaler Amtmann Schröter. The Lilienthaler Radlundweg Li1 connects the cultural-historical sights with the landscape features of the Sankt Jürgensland. The route starts in the historic center of Lilienthal and leads you along the Wörpe in the district Frankenburg. This district was in 1232 location for the first monastery founding in Lilienthal, today is at this point the open-air stage Lilienthal. On the subsequent route, the landscape features are more in the foreground, such as the Tidal River Wümme. The last section of the route leads to the district of Trupe, where the Niedersächsische Kutschenmuseum and the Truper Chapel are located.Show more

The Lilienthaler Radlundweg Li5 begins at the town hall in the historic center with the monastery church and Murkens Hof and runs a bit along the mill dike on the Wörpe. After crossing the river you reach the community Grasberg and the villages Westerstede, Worpheim and Viehland. The next stage towards Hamme is the drive to Hammeschleuse, this was built to protect against summer floods. For a short distance, the route follows the course of the Hamme before turning towards St. Jurgensland and Wümme, the third river of the tour. Past the Gehrdener Sielfleet and the Semkenfahrt-Schleuse we`ll go over the lowlands of the Wümmedeich back to Lilienthal.Show more
