For the most part, one "wanders" onto concrete and admires numerous front gardens, because the "hiking trail" leads to 90% through residential areas. Accordingly, there is not a second in which one is not bombarded by the street noise of the nearby expressway. Describing this as a hiking trail must have been a bureaucratic decision in the hope of attracting hikers who are spending their money in the surrounding cafes. ABSOLUTE UNVERSCHÄMTHEIT !!!

Self-information should take place before a recession! There is no Harz water shelf and certainly not from Oderbrück. This is the Upper Harz water shelf and it is located throughout the Upper Harz; from the ditch on peat house to Lautenthal, from the Hahnebalz to Hahnenklee. Of course, the mines were not "irrigated", on the contrary, the water power was used to drain the pits and drive various conveyors.

Beautiful at the bottom of the Oker, but then a lot of road through the forest. Many forestry works

easy hike, the passage in the heathland is very pleasant

Very nice way and the views are getting better, but that is because the bark beetle eats everything away.

Easy trail with nice wives

Getting to the trail from the city (Hamburg) an adventure! Buss-train-bus. But the trail didn’t disappoint. It isn’t for the challenge seeker but the serene beauty commune with nature folk will enjoy. Stage 4 is varied with some forests but mostly heather meadows. The only heideschnucken (sheep) I saw were more than half way through the 14 km hike just before the small town of Wilsede. The peak of the hike is a whopping 169 meters but the heath just before and just past the hill is stunning. As far as the eye could see there was heather, and brighter purple than the earlier part of the hike! The end of the hike is Niederhaverbeck, and again the challenge here is transportation back to the city. I finished at 4:15 but didn’t get back to my hotel until almost 8!

This trail system primarily consists of a double track, gravel forest road, but there is some single track interwoven in the system.

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful tours in the central heath!

nice short trip with imposing rock formations

it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought. it was long, but the trail is good and the elevation is gradual
