Length: 10.1 mi • Est. 5 h 11 m
This route leads from Mittenwald to Scharnitz and passes through the Leutaschklamm, the Isar and the fortress Porta Claudia. The starting point is about 16 kilometers southeast of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the valley of the Isar, at the foot of the Wettersteingebirge. In the south of the city lies the attractive Leutaschklamm. This moderately strenuous round trip, which leads over the German-Austrian border in 12 kilometers and wins about 290 meters in altitude, represents an excellent combination of a romantic walk through a gorge, along a beautiful river and a visit to an ancient fortress ruin dar. The route can can be divided into three sections: from Mittenwald (Germany) to the Leutaschklamm, from the Leutaschklamm to the fortress Porta Claudia, from the fortress Porta Claudia to Scharnitz (Austria). At a normal pace, the walk is easy to do in about 4.5 hours.Show more

A delightful hike around two lakes, where Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains are always in view. The many refreshments and rest along the lakes invite you to linger. In particular, the Lautersee is characterized by pristine water, as it is fed mainly by underground springs. This condition is how it got its name. "Louder" means so much as clear, pure. Both lakes are well suited for one or the other swimming break.Show more

Length: 8 mi • Est. 4 h
This route is a classic among the Via Ferrata and is one of the most beautiful ridge walks in the Alps. Begin by taking the cable car from Karwendelbahn Talstation. Good weather and an early start are required on this route. A helmet and appropriate gear is necessary for this route. The Brunnsteinhütte is a welcome resting point after a long and exhausting descent over countless turns. Follow the route back down to the bottom of the cable car where you began the trip.Show more

A scenic round. Technically, the route has little difficulty. The Karwendel circuit is probably one of the most famous mountain bike tours ever.Show more

To reach the starting point you will follow the noisy road of Innsbruck by a small way well marked and flat for 40 minutes, then start the route described by attacking a very steep track. After 200 meters of unevenness, it is an equally steep path that we take to the Hochlandhütte, while you are more and more surrounded by mists that hide the summits.Show more

Length: 6.8 mi • Est. 4 h 20 m
The beginning of this trail can be found through excellent signposting already present in the village, the route (N ° 820) which leads to Lautersee (994m) then to Ferchensee (1040m) by a track first paved, then gravelled trail. Then, it is a very wet trail that climbs steeply into the forest almost below the vertical and impressive east face of the Untere Wettersteinspitze (2152m). Reaching the crest separating the Grünkopf from the Wetterstein, the trail continues along ridges on the western side as the forest clears. The descent takes place slowly by slopes often quite steep, but by a path well traced on the eastern slope to the Ederkanzelhütte (DAV), greeted by talkative geese. Show more
