Length: 3.7 mi • Est. 2 h 27 m
This short route leads through the Almbachklamm which is located between Marktschellenberg and Berchtesgaden in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The hike leads through the gorge on a narrow path, similar to the Wolfsklamm. Thanks to the attached railings, the hike is very safe and does not require any additional equipment. Hiking shoes with a non-slip sole are recommended, however. From the oldest marble ball mill in Germany, the trail takes you through the gorge and then over a forest trail back to the starting point. Along the way you pass some beautiful waterfalls and enchanting pools that invite you to linger. Entrance to the gorge costs 6 euros per person or 5 euros with a guest card from a hotel of the area.Show more
