Great trail! But a part of the trail was very noisy because of the nearby road.

nice forest walk. not very exciting paths, but some good views, especially at the far end of the loop. we walked the path the other way around with a steep climb in the beginning, which made the path a bit more challenging.

A great loop that starts and finishes in a charming town. Easy access and a moderate hike whichever direction you choose to travel. The middle half runs along the river and is beautifully shaded and cool.

The trail does not follow a typical route and mostly goes through the woods without clear direction. This is a hike better suited for more advanced hikers with the pro version of this app. Waterfalls are stunning. Better try the Zweitälersteig instead!

beetje smal soms zo in deze coronatijd, maar de moeite waard! Neem wel te eten en te drinken mee, want de weinige gaststuben waren dicht.

Excellent trail. Best in the region so far. Great views of the valley, nice walk along the creek, waterfalls, and streams. Cafe is halfway to grab a coffee. **NOTE**: like other posters have mentioned, this trail is longer than mentioned on here. The Wiesersteig trail markers and not the same for last 3km (if going clockwise), and indeed is 13-14km in total, not 11km.

After waiting aprox 15 minutes in the long row in front of the gondola lift we decided that it made more sense to just start our walk at the(normal) beginning near the entrance and walk our way up. this hike was good doable and it provides both a steeper way and a more easy way up. note: this is not the way behind the gondola lift. taking the original way makes it more comfy because you don't have to constantly wait for the other people to pass. and can create some space in between you and other group of hikers simply by waiting or letting them pass. in the beginning there were allot of tourist it was on a Wednesday but summer hollidays have started. it was already very busy so I would not recommend to come during the weekend. the beginning we found not so interesting hikings wise but it provides some ok/good views especially nice for people who have not been on such a high spot before. we took the red path down where we could this was seemingly the more difficult path but for us that made more fun. I would recommend to have at least some decent hiking shoes in this case. we noticed that the further we went the less tourists there were. there are multiple mountain restaurants but they have resting days which are announced on the boards along the pathway but also on the webpage. I recommend to check their openings days beforehand online when planning to eat in the restaurant. we stopped at the second restaurant this was an ok restaurant but old fashioned and nothing really special the prices were good. the restaurants that were closed had a serve yourself bar where you could get drinks and had to deposit some money. the first half we found a little boring but later it got more interesting when we finally entered the woods good mixtures between climbs and ascends somewhere in the wood part there you find a water source where you can refill your bottles with some refreshing mountain water. the lake was nice it is not allowed to swim there but anyway nice to take a break at. the last part after the lake was most exhausting because of an unexpected climb again the terrain is rocky but still nice. we took it somewhat easy and with all breaks together we took 6 hours to complete it with a walking time of 4 hours. all together it was a nice trail not that much to see when you are used to higher views and besides the view there is not much else then a nice forest to see.

We did the trail anti-clockwise. Pretty part along the river with the waterfalls. At the start of the Karlsruhe ridge you can either choose to take the a trail bypassing most of the Karlsruhe trail, or go over the ridge. Some scrambeling required, no fear of heights and perhaps not a wise choise in heavy rain when things could get slippery. After the Karlsruhe ridge just straightforward walking. Don’t miss the viewpoint at Brennte Schrofen. Gasthaus Bosenstein was closed

Completed the trail in around 4 hours. As people have mentioned, start counterclockwise: I wish I had! By going clockwise you start with the highest point and a great view of the area, then a varied descent in wooded areas (it’s kind of like having dessert first, followed by dinner). Pros: - Areas with diverse nature - Nice views Cons: - Lots of people - Often walking on a road (paved or gravelled) It’s an okay hike, but there are better ones in the nearby region.

it's a nice place to spend on a weekend or on a sunny day. I felt good about it's calmness and when had been there ,there were less tourist so it felt like in a lost paradise. walking along the river side and rocks path is like heaven ,but the water was less but still relaxed therz a restaurant to grab coffee, coke ,bear and some food and yes ice cream as well. parking was free.

Easy hike with wide footpaths circling towards the Hohenbaden castle ruins. Takes about 3hrs with regular stops to take in the view from the viepoints and some photo’s . Even good on a rainy day (not pouring, but a drizzle) as the canopy of trees cover you from most of it. Take some time to explore the castle ruins. Beautiful trail
