It was really nice, such a big waterfall and I did not expect such a view to be honest!

It was really nice! On the Roßberg there is a very good opportunity to take a break in the hostel. Nevertheless, I would recommend a small deviation of the route. (I would not go to Glenkingen but before that to the small waterfalls, this route I personally find more beautiful)

I hiked the initial part of this loop to the top of the waterfall and back as i didn't have enough time for the full loop and the rain began to increase. This trail was mostly over large smooth rocks and steps and was very slippery when it started to rain so make sure you have the rights shoes/boots for this. The waterfall is beautiful to see and you are definitely hiking in the thick forest so there are not any views during the first couple miles at least.

Great trail with stunning views. One small section is very muddy due to deforestation. Great mix of Forrest, vineyards and fields. Bring water!

This trail starts in St Peter and goes to St Märgen in a nice panoramic round trip hike going in a counterclockwise direction. The hike goes through a few of the farms in the scenic Black Forest region and has a nice mix of woods (nice shade) and open Meadows. About 2 hours to St. Märgen, then another 2 back with plenty of time for pictures. A large portion of the entire trail is paved as it connects with the huge network of other trails in the area. I started in the free parking lot below the main square of the St Peter Abbey. For the first leg follow signs for the St. Märgen trail. Once in St Märgen, and after a nice break at the Kronen Cafe, follow signs for St. Peter Höhenweg. This latter part is also in the Rick Steve's guidebook for the Black Forest region. Definitely a moderate hike with a few good climbs for the middle half, but then a nice downhill walk back into town.

it's just beautiful at every turn. I only had an hour, but wish I could have stayed all day. perfect for barefooting- even after some big rains. I'll be back with my family someday for sure.

Tourist Hike: Well worth the hike up to the viewing tower.

Our last leg of the Westweg started as a rainy one, our first encounter with precipitation while on the trail. We departed Kandern and headed to our final destination of Basel. While the trail had some good views of Basel and nearby towns it was somewhat disappointing as a good deal was spent in an urban setting. Also ending at Basel Badischer Bahnhof was anticlimactic with no portal for a final photo. We did however get the clerk at the BBB information desk stamp our postcard that we used for the other stamps.

A very nice way. So many different impressions. To see canyon, castles ski jumps, lake, great distant views towers one can not beat it

Super nice way, but clearly has the wrong name, since only the smallest part of the route actually runs on or through the vineyards. Most of the time you are in the Himbachtal in Schönbuch on the way.

Very nice, varied hiking trail. Also great with dog. Only when crossing the cow pastures you had to be a little careful but really fun.

Beautiful lake high in the Black Forest. Lots of beautiful trails around the lake and through the woods.
