The TMB was my first multi-day hike. I loved that you could stay in mountain huts and eat there which significantly reduces how much you have to carry. It's a gorgeous hike through France, Italy and Switzerland around the glacier-covered Mont Blanc which you'll see from all angles.

I walked this trail in september 2019 as my first ever hiking trail. It took me and my girlfriend 9 days to complete it and we camped in tent through the whole trip. It was defintely the best trip I have ever been on and has started a new passion for me to do more hiking trips in the future. This was defintely a challenging trail for us, because we where new to this and also because we had to carry camping gear. But if you're a beginner and have the right mindset like we had, then you can still enjoy it like we did the hole way through. If you're camping, then be aware of the different rules there are ind France, Italy and Switzerland. France is more loose when it comes to their rules, which is why france was defintely the best place to stay in tent I would say. That's why it only gets 4 stars, in Italy and Switzerland it wasn't as friendly to people doing the trail with tents. Sometimes we had to walk 2-3 km just to find a camping spot away from the trail, which is the biggest reason for us ending up walking 200+ km instead of the original 176 km. But to conclude it all, I would highly recommend you doing this hiking trail, you will never forget it. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and i'm confident that you will think the same after you have completed it. I would love to return in the near future, just because it was that good. But keep in mind, it isn't friendly to people with camping gear.
