This very popular and fairly easy loop trail can be done with a first descent or a steep climb. The Green Lake is 1044m above sea level and owes its name to the color it has (green) due to the proliferation of algae. Lake des Truites (or Forlet) is located at 1066m above sea level and is the highest in the Vosges mountains. The two lakes are located in ancient ice circuses and are dominated by the High Thatches.Show more

This trail will offer you varied landscapes. You cross wild paths, tourist paths, passages in the forest, alpine landscapes and humid undergrowth. This hike also offers a superb view of the Hohneck glacial cirque. It is mainly known for the view of the waterfalls of Petite Fecht, the glacial cirque of Franquenthal and the magnificent panorama from the summit of Petit Hohneck.Show more

Length: 7.8 mi • Est. 4 h 14 m
This hike starts from the Col de la Schlucht in the Vosges mountains and takes you to Lac Vert. Along the way you will cross forests and pass the Hirschsteine rocks. To climb these rocks, you have a metal staircase available. Watch out for those who have vertigo, there is a dizzying passage on the mountainside. It is however well secured. On the way back, you will pass by the ridges from where you can enjoy lookouts over the valley of Munster and the Green Lake.Show more
