Nice walk, though only in good weather. First part may be a bit boring, but as soon as you leave the forrest you'll be rewarded. Not a soul during high season, except for the sheep, eagles and some occasional vulture.

Great hike! A mixture of paths and rocky terrain. It’s steep at the beginning up to Bernstein castle but then it evens out until the base of Hagastein. We did do the outlet path to Egelstein. The view from the sencond castle is beautiful. You can skip spending time at Ramstein castle...it’s mostly just a ruins and the other two are much better! The view a from the second two castles are beautiful! There is no water or trash along the route. It took us around 5 hours with a quick snack stop.

More of a workout than a scenic mountain hike. Steep ascent and descent through forest - fairly monotonous. But where views are possible very beautiful.

Beautiful views at the peak, but not much to see during the hike itself; Great hike if you’re in the area and want cardio with a view

Hard walk but worth it...

Amazing hike in terms of variation of difficulty and terrain. Forested areas, amazing views, and plenty of rest points.

Perfect walk. Based around a beautiful French village; the trail takes you into the hills beyond the village with long views from a ridge before dropping back along a river into the village.

Was a nice little walk that featured hot weather and dry ground on the way up. Most difficult part outside of a lack of fitness was the caterpillars that hung from a spiderweb like silk over the path. The view from the top was gorgeous and I gotta say was worth the walk

Best of the tracks!

A moderate hike through chestnut forests and featuring magnificent valley views. Much of it is along a centuries-old trail built by the Genovese in the 18th century. The hike into and out from the valley is steep but not too difficult.

Great Trail quiet easy and clean (some areas are quiet rocky) some nice views! if you wish to eat in an Auberge on the trail make sure you have some cash!

Belle randonnée relativement facile et propre! Attention cailloux sur certains passages! Prévoir du cash si vous voulez vous arrêter dans l’une des auberges!

A beautiful hike, in particular when there is snow around the lake. It's worth continuing to col d'Anterne for the view of Mont Blanc

Did part of the trail from Haut-Asco and north to Punto Gialba. Very beautiful but also very difficult with a lot of climbing. It was therefore difficult to pay attention to the wonderful views.

My study abroad group took a weekend trip to Annecy, France. Looking for local hikes, I found this one. The view was worth the steep ascent!

Amazing view

Beautiful trail, romantic, not crowded, not difficult, but never boring. Relais des Merveilles was rustic, very quiet, great location. There are nice places to camp as well. Great experience.

Lovely walk up a shady track. On the open top in summer there were bilberries galore. Eagles circling. Easy family walk in good weather but start early enough not to rush. The unmetalled road at the bottom has two tracks turning right from it. Don't take the obvious lower one. The higher one is just round the corner (it's actually a cross roads ie smaller path crossing forest road). Once near the top the route is self evident. On the way back down head for a gate in a fence.
