Thematic trail on the history of the common border of Fourgs and Sainte-Croix with 11 interpretation tables. Circuit can be cut into several loops to be accessible to the greatest number. A booklet presenting the path and giving explanations on the history of the plateau of Fourgs and Granges de Sainte-Croix is available at the Tourist Office of Mont d'Or and 2 Lakes. This booklet also includes a map with the location of the 11 interpretation tables. Do not forget to take your passport or identity card for crossing the border. The start is located in the large car park near the sports fields at the exit of Fourgs towards Switzerland. Go on the cross-country ski tracks to join the road for a hundred meters and leave in the forest. Then go up towards La Beuffarde. Follow the path starting to the right in the middle of the meadows and go up to the left immediately after the fence to join the wood and follow the border. At the exit of the forest, cross the meadows then go along the low wall and cross the road. Follow the path alternating between forest and meadow. Pass by the Granges Jaccard then the marsh and take the forest path to La Grangette. Before entering the wood, walk along the edge to go to table 6 Bis. Then go through the wood, join the small forest road to return to the village of Fourgs through the Haute-Joux.
