This is a really easy trail. We were in a 4-passenger Can-Am Maverick. Nothing about it is Moderate. It's a gravel road for half of the distance. Mostly a smooth dirt road after the gate. There's plenty of width to pass others (or places to pull aside). There is parking with ample offloading space at the trailhead. You can also easily trailer to the gate at the end of the gravel road. Some parking available there for trailers. The tree is worth going to see. A nice easy drive. Spotted a group of mule deer along the way.

Well, it’s a Sequoia not a Redwood tree. But still impressive nonetheless. Lots of mosquitoes out tonight. The road is doable but bumpy. RAV4 did great. Upsetting to see trash and TP at the campsites near the cabin. Please respect others & our lands, and adhere to Leave no Trace.

Should be considered an easy off-road casual drive. Easily accomplishable with only 2wd, and should only lightly scrape a stock vehicle bottom, of careful, no problem for a car like a Subaru. Some spots to get a little air if you want to gun it. Cool to see the tree, cabin a little weird.

We drove in 1.5 miles off I-15 and started there making our round trip 12.5 miles to the guard station. First off this is NOT a trail it is a road going from crushed gravel to the gate to Jeep road/hard packed dirt-rock to the end the last part was more dirt with a lot of water run off tracks in it. the tree is HUGE. The shack is "What the....?" There ARE trails leading further in and over the mountain as shown on the trail guide behind the hantavirus warning shack (ewww). We did not explore past the shack, but it would be interesting to give it a try - these trails are not currently shown on AllTrails. This trail is very runable both up and down. There were several types of flowers in bloom on May 13. There was barely any shade but the scent of pine was very strong and refreshing in the few shady spots. The creek splits into 2 at the trailhead (seasonal and gated in May) and is visible and audible in many spots along the way. You cross a bridge about about 1 mile from the trailhead offering easy access to dip your hat in the ice cold water. You'll get some nice valley views, red rocks rising in the distance (Zion?) and snow in the crevices ahead. Pretty! Picked a great day to do this hike. Parked at the gate and hiked in. It’s about 8 miles round trip. All the colors were popping which made the hike that more enjoyable. Amazing views from all sides. The creeks were both flowing quite fast. The guard shack, and tree was great to see.

Very scenic and pretty drive in the fall. Lots of colors. Road is bumpier the last 2 miles but any truck or suv will be fine if it’s dry. Old shack, creek, and redwood tree are worth the drive in. You will likely see deer if early or later in the day

Great trail, if by "The only Redwood Tree found in Utah", you actually mean "The only creepy, abandoned, Hantavirus-infested-shack in the middle of nowhere", then yes, you will enjoy it. Especially at night.
