Excellent scenic trail! Although the real star of this route is the segment along the stream, the rest provides a nice variety of terrain throughout the whole loop (narrow old paved road, fields, pine forest, etc). I had done this once before in May which was a great time to do it, but like it just as much during the winter. There are couple spots around the stream crossing sections that confused me more than once (part was due to a blowdown). Doing this trail after a day full of rain was especially interesting since there was absolutely no way to cross without completely walking through the water (nice muddy flood color up to the knees). I think there were about 3 spots that involve crossing the stream (no bridges at all). I have now done this both clockwise and counter-clockwise and feel I enjoyed the latter more since the size of the rock formations get larger the further down west you go along the stream and thus the waterfalls get larger. The rhododendron all around the stream also make it feel like a jungle throughout all the seasons.

Snowy! Trailhead is south of the alltrails map location, look for the small sign with the keystone logo that says “parking”

This trail, as outlined is not closed. Notations are made for which parts are closed.

Took the dog for a winter hike, followed the trail clockwise. Temperatures were slightly above freezing, but there was a good amount of ice on the rocks and the second half of the trail. Plenty of stream crossings and some rock scrambling, really fun trail that would be even more fun in warmer weather. Some of the trail markings are a little unclear at the water crossings. Overall great trail.

Lovely, local escape into nature.

Was cool to see it in the winter ! Excited to come back to it during warmer weather, for photos and hammock!

Help!! This trail is so amazing, my fiancee and I have chosen it as the destination for our wedding ceremony. I noted that there is an access/fire road that comes from the other direction. Can someone help me find who owns that land so I can contact them!?!?? Thanks! Please pass along that I am looking for this on your local hiking boards if you see this review. I am in California so I don't have any access to local hiking or business groups :) thank you!!!

Great hike in the snow. Cliff Trail gets little dicey in spots, but the waterfalls and ice formations were fantastic!

was a nice 5 mile winter walk...ice and snow made it a little more challenging!

This is Misleading, this isn’t a trail at all, merely a portion of an old railroad grade while the remaining portion of it is off trail. The person who made this “trail” has done it once, and they didn’t even know where to go, they brought a group of ten people and had to be shown where to go by an explorer they luckily ran into in the parking lot.

Great trail with a lot of variety in terrain. Definitely do this trail counter clockwise from the parking area. It gets the longer less scenic part done first and allows you to hike up the stream bed rather than down. It’s a much better view.

Breathtakingly beautiful, trail name notwithstanding. There are a few scrambly, rooty, and rocky portions of the trail, especially on the ridge along the stream heading up to the dam. Might be challenging if it’s muddy or if the rocks are slippery. Well worth the effort, though, when you reach the dam’s waterfall (you can walk atop the wall) and beyond to get an amazing view from further upstream.

Nice trail for dog walking. Not a lot of markings so I did make a few detours but always found my way in the end.

Lovely, short, happy trail. A bit muddy. Beautiful moss and small evergreen trees. Highly recommended!

Gravel trail that runs parallel to the Lehigh River. We hiked in winter and it was perfectly fine, if not terribly exciting. There are not many trail signs within Lehigh Gorge, so to access this one —best for a bike ride or fitness walk/run as opposed to nature hike—walk straight through parking lot to trail head.

Beautiful day. Constant sound of rushing water from the various streams due to last night's rain and the snow melt.
